"Received a very warm welcome. The hotel and grounds were looking beautiful in the sunshine. We had a lovely character room in The Gatehouse with a modern well equipped bathroom . Dinner and breakfast were served outside in the courtyard and I had a complimentary G n T as it was my birthday. Had two lovely walks on the beach. The outdoor pool is beautiful but was a bit too warm and busy for me as sunny and lots of Spa day guests and members . We also had a delicious afternoon tea in the garden. "

"Lovely views and a comfortable stay. Room was very big and the shower was excellent. The fridge wasn’t working but was replaced straight away. Breakfast was great with a good choice of hot and cold food in the restaurant that had beautiful views of the harbour. Great location for exploring The Island. "It is next to a busy road but I didn’t hear it during the night. It is a very convenient short walk into town or to the castle or station. Breakfast was well served and tasty. Overall a very good experience."

"Provides every need for a basic trip. We were in Portsmouth to visit family and it was a nice hotel to stay in after a long day of socializing with all the necessary needs. Also, they have a pool table!
