"The property is nestled away on the country side of the island. We stayed in the honeymoon suite only steps away from the ocean . The pool is made of stones and is refreshing , especially with a cocktail. We scheduled a couples massage with hot rocks and let the stress of the World melt away . What a lovely retreat with Nature ! We will be back soon!"

"This is in an idyllic forest setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fun and tasty. There is parking outside and across the road. WiFi is great. It's the opposite of quiet but the noises are rainforest sounds and cattle, which is restful in a different way.

We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. "Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm.
They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. Our favourite was the weekday driver.

It is a bit off the beaten track, and the road to get up there is rough so if taking a taxi, make sure the taxi includes the drive all the way up there. "I have now been staying at Fort Young a good handful of times and it is always a pleasure to visit. The rooms have been done up since my last visit and some sort of construction was still going on outside but not disturbing. In general a great stay as always but avoid they breakfast. The morning staff in the restaurant is letting the hotel down. Service is below the usual standard and the buffet consists of lots of empty trays...you'll be lucky to fill your plate. This happened every morning...early or late."
