"Lovely hotel. Will say before all else - the food was amazing! Breakfast was brilliant but we also ate in the restaurant the night of and this was delicious. Would drive 1.5hours to come back again! Otherwise the hotel seems to be a little hidden gem. Staff very welcoming to us (and 2 under twos - always a challenge). Very accommodating, great communication and friendly. Hotel itself situated nicely near local castle to explore and easy footpath walks behind the hotel into the hills/by a little...

"What a great find. The perfect stop off on our way to the Highlands. The room (room 5) was incredibly spacious and clean. The service was friendly and genuine and the food was well cooked and great value. The breakfast in particular was clearly cooked to order and piping hot. Definitely recommend this place. "

"The staff were Brilliant. We were given what could be described as a standard room when we arrived. When we showed reception picture of room which was booked they changed room to room on picture immediately. It was mentioned that it should not have been advertised as a superior room. Hotel was perfect for a warm , quiet welcome after a day walking. Staff were fantastic. "

"The hotel was perfectly located for walking. The room was very clean there was just some lipstick/ makeup marks on the bathroom wall which I didn't expect as the room was expensive. But overall it was a luxury experience. Breakfast was nice"

"As described it’s a little old around the edges with some mould around the door frame in our bedroom. Having said that I’d definitely stay again. Very welcoming, comfortable, had our own door into the garden for our dog which was an absolute bonus and to top it all the food was delicious. Really pleased I found it.

Bit of a time warp, bit tired, but if they fixed it they would ruin it.
It something out of a TV series, staff are great. its not a luxury setup, but defiantly an experience well worth having and in a lovely setting. will be back"

Dover Sole for dinner was magnificent. Wines chosen from their adjacent wine shop ( corkage £10 per bottle ) were exceptional and good prices for Bin ends.
Staff were very helpful , polite and very efficient."

"I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. "

"We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at the Crown Inn. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was on the small side but it was well equipped and very clean, with a comfy bed too. The ensuite was perfect. We ate ate the Inn and all our meals were good and tasty, especially the breakfast with a good range of options. "
