Killawarra House, bush luxury!

The modern country-style property is nestled on 2.5 acres of natural bush, just a few minutes drive from Healesville. Surrounded by Yarra Valley wineries, you might choose to go exploring, nestle into the couch & fireplace, or even enjoy a drink or two in your own private bar, 'The Black Spur' with the outdoor fire pit roaring. The Space:

A modern and extremely well furnished house in the middle of a bush setting, yet only a short few minutes drive from town. It is very quiet, but there are many activities for adults and/or the kids!



Whether it be a group of people, or just a single couple to unwind with the whole house to themselves, there is something for everyone at Killawarra House!



The house is "off the beaten track" and located at the top of a small mountain, Mt Rael. It is a 2 minute drive on a winding gravel road to the house from the main road, and not suitable for large buses (coaches) or limousines. 10/12 seat mini buses are fine. It is also perfectly fine for standard cars and our driveway has been improved, to ensure smooth driving for all.

Guests have full access to everything.



The Neighborhood:

Healesville is a beautiful little town in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia, 52 km north-east from Melbourne's central business district, approx. a 1 hour drive. It has a population of nearly 8,000. Tourism dominates the area, with fantastic pubs & restaurants, wineries, Healesville Sanctuary, RACV Golf Club, picnic racetrack, Four Pillars Gin Distillery, Yarra Valley Railway, Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery, Yarra Valley Dairy, spa retreats, walking tracks, plus much more!



Getting Around:

Healesville town is 3.5km away from the house, mostly downhill into town, but an uphill walk home; why did you think the views are so amazing?! There is a bus stop at the main road about 800m from the house that runs between Lilydale and Healesville. There is also a number of taxis and drop-off bus service that operate around the town. Other Things to Note:

The outdoor private bar, 'The Black Spur' is to be thoroughly enjoyed, but not after 9pm. It is strictly requested that the use of the bar is to cease by this time each night of the stay. Even in the allowed time periods, it is requested noise be kept to an acceptable level. The house is located in a quiet & peaceful area, and local noise restrictions are heavily monitored by Police, Council and neighbours. EPA Victoria have the right to penalise the property for excessive noise, therefore the house has the right to issue a $500 penalty to guests for excessive noise and/or use the Black Spur bar after 9pm at night.
