"Very nice quiet place (except for the occasional barking dog at night) on a hilltop outside Kandy. The road up was a bit challenging for our guide's car, but it managed eventually. Super friendly staff and VERY cheap laundry service. Also a nice restaurant with a good selection and a nice little pool area."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room didn't have Wi-Fi firstly but after I asked for help, they set up connection for me :) The buidling and infrastructure is a bit old. The view from the terrace was superb. Though the site is far from the city central, you can find some nice restraurants and bakeries within 10 min walk."

"It is my second stay at Galavilla. I love this place so much. I was happy that the hotel is well developt. I feel as a home. The morning view form the room is realy breathtaking. The hotel is open around 5 years but still everythings is as new.I never see it in another hotels in Sri Lanka. I can recomend everyone who like nature and relax."

"The bedroom was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. The bathroom was extremely damp and mouldy. Overall abit of a tired hotel. Staff are nice but couldn’t help me much with my issues or questions. There is a nice pool but a large party playing loud music and drinking had been allowed to sit by the pool so it felt uncomfortable to use the pool when I arrived. I paid more for a “Mountain View” room but I was told that didn’t really exist so I wouldn’t advise booking that and paying more...

"Stor naturoplevelse og ren og pænt i teltene. Dog en del myrer i brusekabinen, men vi er jo også i et telt. Sødt men uorganiseret serveringspersonale (glemte bl.a. bestillinger flere gange). Undrede os, den dyre pris for opholdet taget i betragtning, at hynder og håndklæder udendørs var ret plettet og slidt, ligesom de udendørs ellers komfortable siddemøbler havde ulækkert betræk. "
