"Everything was great for the most part. Stayed 7 nights and still never could figure out why the upstairs was an oven (with the upstairs thermostat OFF!!) and downstairs was cold. We left the thermostat on downstairs at 71 and the upstairs would blow hot air causing it to be in the mid to high 70’s. In order to be warm enough downstairs, we kept the windows open upstairs. "We stayed one night and didn’t even use the kitchen other than putting our food in the fridge but it was clean and big. The two bathrooms were stocked with enough supplies, the bedrooms were cozy, and I like that in the living room there were games and books. I didn’t realize the house was so close to the freeway which you can’t hear when the windows are closed but we got hot in our bedroom and opened the window and could hear the traffic in the mornin. "We loved our stay at Shore Acres! The property is beautiful and perfect for the kids and dog! The views of the coast were amazing and we took the short walk down to the river many times. The house is old, but very well maintained and updated. That being said, don’t expect everything to look or work perfectly. We appreciated all the linens and kitchen items, and the fun extras like the telescope and pingpong table! We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area. "
