Hi Tena, thank you for your stay and we're glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves, despite the things you noted could have been better. To provide more details for future guests on a few things you noted, we have decided to order a full-size BBQ. We will try to keep it available year-round, but it may be difficult to keep a larger BBQ out mid-winter so if guests are planning to use it mid-winter, please check with us to confirm it's available. We haven't heard anyone complain about the noise or comfort of the beds and have found most guests find the beds quite comfortable, including the king-size one in the master bedroom. Even in the hotter summer months, the house stays quite cool given the shade from surrounding trees, several ceiling fans, and thick insulation. The A/C unit is a little extra to keep it cooler on the hottest summer days, but we try to keep it from blocking any views or causing too much noise in the bedrooms.

Hi Kat, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry the heat and hot water were not sufficient during your stay and we are looking into why you had these issues. For the hot water, we have scheduled a plumber out to assess if there is insufficient hot water and/or if it's time to replace the tank. We haven't heard about the heat being insufficient before, but we are looking into the issue. As you noted, the house has three sources of heat: radiant floor heating which does quite well at keeping the house comfortable down to ~30 degrees. And, then we have large space heaters in the bedrooms and main room - we are checking to confirm these are functioning properly. And, the fireplace is highly effective at providing heat to the house. In fact, as noted in the fireplace instructions, guests can fill the fireplace with wood before going to bed and it will still be warm in the morning. The high ceilings, open living spaces, and wall of windows can require a lot of heat to keep the house warm, and we will make sure that the three heat sources are all functioning well. Hi Michael, thank you so much for choosing our house for your vacation. Unfortunately, there is no cell service available in our area (except for Verizon), but we do provide a landline and calling card for guests to use (we even purchased a headset for guests that need to take conference calls while there). We also recently signed up for the Starlink internet satellite beta, and it's working remarkably fast! We are so sorry the river wasn't flowing while you were here. The river is indeed seasonal and this past year, particularly the few weeks that coincided while you were there (early September), the river has been very low to the point where it has disappeared from view from the house, although there are places within ~0.25 mile from the house where you can access flowing water throughout the year. We are always happy to talk to guests about the current river conditions or the various ways to enjoy the river depending on time of year.

Historically, we have heard very positive comments from guests about being able to sit by the river. We provide chairs at the river and keep the trees pruned so the sun shines through and you can see mountain and river view from house. Thank you for the review. Yes, the upstairs bathroom is off the master bedroom. The downstairs bathroom (has full shower and bath tub) is not connected to a bedroom.
