I was surprised that check-in was through a window with bulletproof glass, and I think that’s somewhat reflective of the neighborhood. It’s not really a bad neighborhood, but they obviously don’t think they can let people in. I arrived about 10 PM so maybe the lobby would’ve been open earlier in the day. "The room was clean. The breakfast was pretty good. The gym is good enough if you just need a workout when you’re away from your home gym."

"The hotel was quite run down, with chipping paint, and trim, bubbles on the ceiling where leaks had happened, a dirty bathtub and a noisy refrigerator that sounded like a running truck. "Had to share one tub stopper between the rooms me and my parents stayed at. Small roaches and beetles in room. Room had a good air conditioner and curtains. Staff relatively pleasant. Floor was carpeted and sticky; strong smell of chemicals in room. "
