"Good value for the cost. Very comfortable bed, high end bathroom and a tasty continental breakfast. Was disappointed that the spa wasn't open despite being advertised as such, and advanced arrival details would have been helpful. "

"We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...

"Todo a estado muy bien, la atención del personal, su restaurante y la habitación perfecto y el desayuno sin ser bufé muy bueno. Solo pondría una pega y no al hotel, si no a la central por donde hice la reserva, yo cogí una triple y ponía claramente 3 personas una habitación con una cama individual y una doble, pero al llamar al hotel para confirmar la reserva, me dijo el recepcionista que a ellos les figuraba una habitación triple para uso doble. "This hotel was an overnight stop off between the coast of Asturias and Rioja. It was very affordable. It did not have the charm of the old buildings but everything we could wish for was there. The food was cheap and very good. The breakfast was enjoyable. The service was good. No complaints. Great Value for money"

"Lovely hotel. Our room had a little balcony with a great view over the water. Nice foyer sitting area with a pellet burning stove. There is an attached traditional bar and restaurant serving good cold dishes, but no hot meals. Excellent selection of cured meats and cheeses and their own label wine. Very good value."
