"This is our go to hotel when I bring my daughter up to visit her family , everything about this hotel I love. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is delicious with so much choice. The lay out of the hotel is great. Rooms are modern and clean and comfortable. The view of the racecourse is an added bonus. I don’t follow horse racing but I live the view. "

It is a beautiful old building, which has been thoughfully modernised inside.
Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower, with plenty of hot water. It was also surprisingly quiet, for being in a town, with the occasional call of a pair of tawny owls.
The staff were absolutely great, and very efficiently with their service.
Breakfast was superb, with a menu to suit everyone.

Friendly and helpful staff and our room was clean and cosy.
Breakfast was okay, but would've like to have seen a selection of mini cakes/biscuits and fresh fruits to the selection, just to give more of a variety and also some fresh juice in addition to the cordial, tea and coffee on offer.
However an enjoyable and pleasant stay and would love to return. "
