## Emplacement
The 7th arrondissement is to the southwest of the city center, and includes the tip of the Vieux-Port and the Îles du Frioul. It's one of the city's most sought-after districts, home to the immense golden statue of the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Garde, Marseilles' landmark. The district also boasts one of France's oldest Christian monuments, the Abbaye Saint-Victor, as well as Fort Saint-Nicolas and the Palais du Pharo.
You'll discover the narrow, steep streets of the Endoume and Saint-Lambert districts, as well as modern, bourgeois buildings alternating with numerous sidewalk stalls.
