"1 week of dedicated maintenance would do wonders. The walls were scuffed, furniture marked up, a hole in the wall, pool table has big cuts in it with missing cue tups, broom closet was dirty, some outlets that were present didnt work, bathrooms didnt have outlets, etc.View and location were nice, but dissappointed in what we were expecting. Place just seems run down compared to the other properties we stayed at on our trip."

"This is a beautiful home surrounded by vineyards, quiet, and an approximately 10 min. drive into town. Sandra was very helpful with us trying to get an alternate plan to get across to the north island when the ferry had cancelled. Spectacular views and wonderful hosts. You can’t go wrong!"

"Got a message nice and early with the code for the door. Lovely wee cottage. Only worry we had was with it being cold there was not much wood for the fire. Even though it stated there was extra in the bin. Which their wasnt. But plenty of heating so wasnt an issue. "

"By far one of the nicest and well equipped sommerhouses we as a family have ever stayed at. Glorious view of the bay from the spacious living and kitchen, and really nice to master bedrooms and and extra very big bedroom for 3 persons. The beds were very good and it was a quiet place to sleep. I will very much recommend this to everyone traveling in New Zealand, and we would gladly have stayed longer if we had not already booked for the next 7 days. "

"Great location especially located beside Mount Victoria (beautiful hikes) and definitely walkable to downtown and many restaurants. Parking for one car - what you'll need in the area. Fantastic internet, the fastest we've had in NZ when connected by cable! Certainly very large for a couple, perfect for two couples or small family. Jenna is a great host, very helpful."

"This house met all our expectations and more. The view from the deck was amazing and we saw a humpback breach within the first hour of our arrival. During the rest of our stay we saw dolphins playing in the water many times.The layout of the house is interesting, with kitchen, dining and deck upstairs, as well as the kids bedroom directly off the kitchen and a double bedroom only accessible from the deck. No problem with the nice weather we had, but perhaps not great having to go through outside...

"Everything was in good order when we arrived. The home was great for us with all of the bedrooms and big dining table and upstairs family room with TV. We had our small dog with us and he felt quite at home there. It was interesting walking around the neighborhood. "
