"We had a wonderful stay at Whimsy on the Wood! Clean, peaceful, comfortable - Beautiful fenced in yard, plenty of space for our 2 dogs to enjoy! Definitely will book again! "

"Cozy feeling to the cabin..beautiful, peaceful setting on the lake. We saw deer walking through the yard! So amazing! Will definitely return for another stay. We hosted a family cookout for about 12 people, and one family member requested information and interest about property for his own famiky getaway. The hist was always prompt about answering all questions we had. Really enjoyed our stay"

"Great place, very much as advertised. About 40 minutes from Virginia Tech. Very peaceful and beautiful, particularly in morning and evening. Can be hard to find, but the directions in the welcome email were good. We expect to visit again. Our dog really loved it too. "

"The property was very clean and had everything you needed from dishes and cook wear to shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. It was our first time using Vrbo so I had some questions ahead of our stay. The host, Jerry, responded quickly to all my questions. I would stay here again the next time I visit Bristol."

"This is the sweetest little lake house. Very beautiful and quiet. We need to come back when we can just sit on the deck and enjoy the space. The house had plenty of linens, coffee and some cute little gifts. The bed was very comfortable. The shower does make a loud noise when you turn it on. But nice hot water. "

"The cottage is nice and communication was good. The town of Damascus is very small, so be mindful that theres not any food/stores open late. Overall, I stayed at the house while attending the race in Bristol. The cottage took about 40 minutes to get to, including traffic from Bristol Motor speedway. "

"Absolutely!!! A wonderful place! great area, quiet, peaceful, very great location close to everything. This was the first place i’ve ever booked and they made it the most easiest and most relaxing weekend i could ever have! I would totally book this place again, before anything else! I will totally be recommending this to my family, friends, and anyone that ask me where i think they should stay when they go into bristol!!!!"

"I definitely recommend this property and would stay here again. The house is stocked and furnished perfectly. Simple, elegant and useful. Nothing seemed worn out or flimsy. We loved how close it was to the creeper trail and restaurants etc. The carport was great as we had brought our trailer with bikes. We had a question during our stay and the host responded right away. Luckily I had read the reviews and knew the address was incorrect, but I can confirm that the address that is associated with...

"We had a great time! The little town is great and the house was nice and spacious. We had everything we needed and the communication was top notch. It was a little cobwebby but I assume that is just because it’s a little rustic and in the country and it didn’t bother me. "
