Definitely consider this place, even though it is a bit "outside the beaten track"."

"Lovely pools and grounds. Surprised to find that prices at bars and restaurants are not inflated like some other 5 star properties. e.g. valet parking was an extremely reasonable 20$. You'll enjoy the tin cup mint juleps underneath the lantern tree."

"Visiting the Carrizo Plain, we decided to stopover in Taft. We could not have chosen a better place. Owners are very kind and helpful. Them alone make it worth staying there. But for the price you get very big rooms with fridge, micro and coffemaker. We have been travelling for eight month and seen a thing or two, and we can highly recommend to stay at this place."
