Carmel Holiday is a comfortable three-bedroom, two-bath home that has it all‚ ocean view, WiFi, a fenced yard, and is located only one short block to the beach. Sit on the large wrap-around deck and listen to the sound of the waves or stay warm by the fire either in the upstairs living room or downstairs in the family room.

When you walk up the stairs you will find the door to the wrap-around deck, the kitchen that has everything you need to enjoy cooking for your family and friends, a dining room that seats eight, the living room with its wrap around couch and wall of windows facing the ocean, and the main suite with a comfortable bed and private bathroom.

The entry level has the family room, which is perfect for family game nights with a round table and poker chips, a futon for additional sleeping, and a TV. The other two bedrooms of this home are down here as well. This is a lovely home with much to offer the person looking for a getaway or for a family vacation. Everything has been considered to make your stay fun and enjoyable. Once you stay here you will want to visit every year.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Charming and close to everything

This place is immaculate and very charming. We loved the location, steps from the beach, and a short walk to the main street. The fireplace was cozy, all the bedrooms have very comfortable beds and the large dining table was great for meals and crafts. Recommend!

Not fancy but everything you need. Fenced Yard. Great Location.

I've stayed here several times and it isn't fancy but has everything you need. I see small improvements every year. New couch this year! I love that there is carpet almost everywhere. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach and you get a peek a boo view from the deck which is lovely to sit on in the afternoon even in November. The fenced yard is perfect for my 2 dogs. The main street with cute shops and restaurants is a 5 minute walk. The beds/pillows are comfortable and the kitchen has all the basics. I bring a small heater for the downstairs bathroom which has a tiny shower that might be uncomfortably small for a large/tall person. The upstairs bathroom has plenty of room and a built in wall heater. The house is always spotlessly clean when we arrive. San Dune Pub has great burgers and lots of TV's to watch the game. Neah Kah Nie has excellent food, reserve well ahead.

Location is nice- close to town and beach. Pretty out dated and could use some TLC. One bathroom in the master bedroom. The other is downstairs and tiny. Kitchen is very small. Nice fenced yard. Overall it was just okay. We paid $600 a night after tax/fees and I feel that was overpriced for the place.

Carmel house

This is an older house which needs some updates. Dinning room table definitely needed refinishing. Stairs need vacuuming. Outside also needs clean up. The appliances were new and clean. Bedding in upstairs was worn .

Disappointed

The location of this property is great. Walking distance to the heart of Manzanita and close to the beach. The house itself is quite large and can fit a lot of people. It was advertised as having a fireplace but unfortunately the fireplace had a sign that it was out of order. That really bummed us out because it was raining and part of our reason for booking was to have a fire. This property is managed by the vaCasa and when we had issues VRBO site and vacasa would not communicate. We also had to go to a location in town to get our keys and drop them off there as well. Not a huge deal but slightly annoying. My last complaint is more focused on the vacasa check out policy. The 10 AM check out time is ridiculous considering most hotels and motels allow an 11 AM check out. Forces you to rush. Ironically they will allow you to check out at a later time if you’re willing to pay. Oh and the cleaning fee which was as expensive as two additional nights was over the top considering they want you to do the laundry, empty garbage and start the dishes. So, I weight the cost and discovered we can stay with a dog at a hotel 3 blocks away for 1/2 the price, check out at 11 and not have to clean.

Comfortable, spacious, homey and great location cabin

Holiday Carmel is in a great location of being a block from the beach and walking distance to the stores and shops. It’s a homey, comfortable, spacious 2 level cabin with a great deck for eating meals outside and a large yard for kids and dogs. There’s also an outdoor shower for rinsing sand off and a back patio with lounge chair. Comfortable beds, good amenities in bathroom and kitchen. It’s not a modern, updated house but a beachy, lived in cabin with lots of family memories evident through pictures on the wall. We enjoyed our stay at Holidat Carmel Cabin.

Great spot with our doggo

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The fenced in yard was perfect for our puppy- we could hang out on the deck while she ran around the yard. The furniture and decor is definitely a little bit dated, but overall it felt very clean and it was perfect for a simple getaway on the coast.

Good rental for families

The property needs some upgrades, but the location and layout worked out great for our family. The lower level worked out great for our teenage son who had his own living room area that includes a futon couch and chair and game table. The upstairs was the adult haven with a large comfy couch and dining room table and wrap around deck. We also loved the large fenced yard for our dogs who we could watch from the deck. The kitchen is on the small side but was functional and had most of what we needed. Sunset Rentals promptly provided the one missing item which was a can opener. The pans need to be replaced, which is typical of a lot of rentals so bring your own if you are picky about your pans. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would rent this home again.

Lovely getaway

This house is very close to the quaint town of Manzanita and the beach. Everything is in walking distance. My first impression of the house was it looked a bit ramshackle from the outside. We opened the door and we were assaulted with a very strong musty odor. It was apparent there had been water damage to the downstairs portion of the house as seen on the ceiling tiles. Upstairs was free of odor and full of bright light. This was the main living area however, downstairs had two of the three bedrooms. In time the odor became less apparent. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The yard was spacious. A great space for the dog. Overall we enjoyed our stay. I am sure the owner will address the water damage smell and all will be cozy and nice.
