"The advertised location as being on the Otago Rail Trail was incorrect. In fact it was 17 km from the trail in a different town so we couldn’t even get there. Very disappointing."

He provided some of the history of Ophir and made suggestions regarding the best place for a meal, all of which was accurate. He made a prediction of the likely weather conditions for the Bike ride to Wedderburn and he was correct. "

"We loved the Stargazer Cabin - we actually stayed there twice, both before and after our Otago Central Rail Trail bike adventure. The Cabin was spotlessly clean with cookies to welcome us and a prepared breakfast for each morning. The location was peaceful and quiet, the bed was very comfortable and we felt very much at home. Highly recommend!"
