THE SPACE

A quiet fifth-floor apartment in a 2020-built development on the Bridgewater Canal, with a private balcony overlooking the water and open-plan living.

The bedroom has a comfortable king bed with blackout blinds and plenty of wardrobe space. The open-plan living area combines a full kitchen, dining space and sitting area, with the balcony leading off it.

The kitchen is properly equipped rather than token: oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washer dryer, and everything you need to actually cook rather than reheat.

WORKING HERE

Fast wifi throughout and a dedicated desk and chair. The building is quiet during the day and the apartment gets good natural light, so working from here is genuinely comfortable rather than a compromise.

GETTING AROUND

Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop is around five minutes' walk, with direct lines to MediaCity, Old Trafford, the Etihad and Manchester Airport. Deansgate rail station is ten minutes on foot and Piccadilly roughly twenty. Most of the city centre is comfortably walkable.

Nearby: Manchester Central, Bridgewater Hall, Spinningfields, Manchester Royal Infirmary, the universities and Old Trafford.

Paid parking is available directly in front of the building.
