I booked a 2-week stay at this particular property since it had a sauna. I was training for a big expedition and a sauna was part of my training and recovery. The sauna had a "closed for maintenance" sign and was never operable the entire time I was there, nor did I see anyone working on it during the 2 weeks. When I inquired I was told there was no ETA for it to reopen. My hunch is they close it for shoulder season since there were so few people staying in the complex at that time. The listing title and description clearly advertise a sauna, so it would be best if you checked it's actually availability ahead of booking this accommodation. I had found similar, cheaper accommodations that I would have booked had I been informed the sauna was "closed."While the condo itself was comfortable and adequate, there is a family with a small child that lives in the condo above this one. There was a decent amount of running and heavy stepping that could be heard.The kitchen had the very bare essentials - if you want to cook/bake a lot, it may be a challenge.The location is good, however, Mammoth is so small that it's really hard to find a bad location.The management company was responsive and nice, but denied to make any kind of concessions due to the inaccurately advertised sauna. I've traveled extensively around the world and was quite surprised and disappointed that this was the case.
