Affordable Unit for family of 4 and pet

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good central location to restaurants and grocery store. Nice heated outdoor pool for family play, hot jacuzzi and pet friendly. Our specific unit assigned parking garage is inconvenient since no elevator for luggage or garbage dumpster for trash. Our specific unit appliances could be updated.

Cozy

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Clean and cozy condo in a nice location. The walk to Eagle is slightly uphill so the shuttle stop right outside the door was great. The walk back to the condo (going slightly downhill) was much easier. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was easy to access. Very comfortable for a family of four. We had a light that wasn't working and the property manager responded very quickly to fix the issue.

Simple convenient condo, close to Eagle!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Summit 234 is a very basic but convenient condo within a short drive or walk to Eagle Lodge. The condo has all you need for a small family/couple to spend a few days with easy access to Mammoth Mt. Basic kitchen necessities and bedding provided, covered parking, although the condo is definitely in need of some updating (peeling paint, stains etc) it is very clean. This condo could jump up significantly with just a few minor improvements but for what we need for a ski getaway as a family with kids and a pup, it works out great.

Review of Summit #234

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo in the summit was in a great location outside of town. The condo was clean but needs some maintenance as far as cleaning the carpet and painting. I accommodated 2 people and a dog very well and everything worked that we used. It had an elevator which was very helpful for our older dog. The management company was very easy to work with and helpful.

Weekend Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We liked the condo very much. It was clean, and the location was good. There were a couple of downsides. The condo had no air conditioning. It didn't get too hot, but a bit warm during the day. Also, if you stay on the first floor, where we were, there was no elevator from the condo floor to the parking garage, so you had to lug all your stuff up stairs and through corridors.

Run down and tired Condo

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was noise from the unit above us in the middle of the night all night on Saturday and Sunday. We had no TV on Friday and Saturday. I don't know if it was related to the noise from the unit above us. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. I would not stay in this unit again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Absolutely awful customer service and conditions. We were not able to make our reservation due to the weather and only bc of the weather and we were not offered a reasonable refund, or a refund at all, because of the weather. Will never book here again.

Perfect for a family of 4 with a dog

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is not super fancy but the sleeping arrangements were great. My husband has a bad back so he needs to switch around throughout the night. He had the option of a recliner, the comfortable couch, and the comfortable bed. We also appreciated that there was a an extra bathroom at the sauna which helped when all four us needed to get up and going in the morning. Having a kitchen was perfect since all of the restaurants were so crowded and the kids were STARVING after a long day on the slopes. So, not fancy, but met all of our needs (and we have lots of needs). ;)

Severely Disappointed would not stay here again

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was in disgusting condition the rug was stained all over. The restroom had black mold spots and the paint was cracked and pealing off the wall. The sink had a continuous leak that left yellow stains even after wiping it. The wall had random stains/marks on them the room air quality was awful super dusty, I check the vents with a flash light and they looked to not have been cleaned in ages, dust just clumped together on the vent fans. The comforter had weird crusty stains and the sheets were all torn up. Not going to stay here again this was gross and uncomfortable paying $1,064 was not worth it at all extremely displeased.

Comfortable stay in a quiet condo

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice, quiet little condo (little old), comfortable for a couple with maybe two young kids (bunk beds are small). Has the kitchen amenities to make it easy to cook while visiting. Not easily accessible to and from the designated parking spot (lots of stairs or you have to walk outside, on the street and around to the other structure if you want to take the elevator). It was clean, but sheets and furniture had some stains.

It worked but areas for improvement

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: PositiveContactless pick-up of keys, easyGreat location Easy parking (once you find your assigned spot)Bunk beds did fit a 6ft tall teenager okayKitchen had all the pots, pans, utensils for cookingThere was enough TP, paper towels, dish soap and the sponge didn’t smell, it was new !I emailed management company in advance re late arrival and they were responsiveNegativeWasn’t really clean in a detailed way, when removing couch cushions to pull out bed there was dirt and crumbs and food under the cushions and in the mattress. The carpet was stained in multiple placesThe fridge froze contents (it could be on me, but I couldn’t see how to adjust temperature)The sheets in the bedroom had package stickers on them, left me wondering if they had been cleaned. Then overall corners weren’t clean, splatters of walls, hair in shower on furniture. The unit smells, like old cigarette smoke.Given the cleaning fee required to pay my expectation is that the unit would be cleaned, comprehensively. I emailed the management company about the issues upon arrival, I didn’t want to be held responsible for anything. They did not respond. There are comprehensive directions but signage in the building was tiny, it is P-touch labels. We wandered around for some time before we found the unit.

Summit 234

Property was neat and clean, although very dated in terms of decor throughout. Cabinets in kitchen were very high and hard to reach. Kitchen also lacked a large, 9x13 Pyrex pan to cook food for a family, lacked a broiler pan and cookie sheet as well. Since outdoor grills were closed -and these supplies were not on hand, we could not prepare the dinner we had planned. Also, there was no AC in unit, which I did not realize when booking. It was hit but there were 2 fans. Deck was full of firewood so we could not sit outdoors. The light and fan in the bathroom and the outlet near sink stopped either night before checkout. We tried resetting breaker but did not solve problems. Management was called in morning. This was our third trip to Summit condos, we love the layout & convenience. Having said that though, the complex is in bad shape; peeling paint, dark hallways, ages interiors, cheap toiletries and supplies, so not sure how quickly we will rebook. We love mammoth but it may be time to find a new rental. Thank you.

Nice location, well-equipped, modern(ish) electronics

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent the weekend (Friday/Saturday night) here. The condo has a well-equipped kitchen and digital televisions. The DVD player also has 3 DVDs in the drawer. We figured out we could load out of the main garage and use the elevator when we left, but that would be dependent on the occupancy of the garage. The only minor problem was that the bathroom ceiling was failing due to what looked like a leak in the bathroom plumbing of the condo above.

Nice Condo But Parking Garage Has A Problem

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is nice and clean. Decorated with a wolf theme. We were comfortable and cozy; extra blankets, pillows, etc. Kitchen is stocked well with cooking pans, utensils, and plates. We enjoyed our 6 night stay.It would be nice if a keyless entry lock was installed. We had to go to the Mammoth Reservations Office after hours to pick up a key and then return it on leaving. The owner should spend a little money on upgrades like this. The real problem is the parking garage which I discovered after we left. My truck was parcked in the A/B garage space 234 and the ceiling dripped hard water across the hood and cab roof. I thought it was just condensation from snow but after a car wash, there is a white crusty matter caked on. Snow melt does not contain hard water deposits like calcium or lime that had crusted onto my truck. I suspect there is some leak of hard water from a pipe in the garage ceiling or nearby. Mammoth Reservations contacted the HOA about my issue. Their response was that the HOA is not responsible for snow melt. So they just blew me off and did not even respond to a direct email. So neither the HOA or Mammoth Reservations will take any responsibility nor will they confirm they even inspected the space regarding the problem. The car wash manager told me the spots are due to hard water that contains calcium and other minerals. He sees this problem a lot from parking garages when there is a leaking pipe. Natural snow and snowmelt do not contain these minerals. I have been coming to Mammoth for 50 years and have never had snow leave deposits on my car paint. So I'm stuck with several hundred dollars to have the deposits cleaned off and the paint protection restored. It is a shame the HOA is unresponsive as they are allowing an issue like this to penalize the condo owner who should be furious with the HOA for ignoring a tenant. So enjoy your stay in the condo. Just don't exp
