Creek 'n Woods II is a Smoky Mountain vacation rental cabin in Maggie Valley, NC. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin sleeps 6-8 people, and is fully furnished-all you need to bring are your clothes and food. Pet friendly as well (Up to 2 dogs at $75 fee). The cabin is located on a creek (very kid friendly) in the woods. There are rocking chairs waiting for you on the L-shaped covered porch. The hot tub is on the back deck, and at the end of a full day of exploring all that there is to do in Haywood County and the surrounding areas, it's a great place to soak away the cares of the day (or the sore muscles and possible bruises from skiing or snowboarding). A gas grill with an extra tank of gas is also on the deck for your use. Down on the bottom deck right next to the creek we a gas firepit to relax and warm up under the market lights. There is fooseball, movies, books, puzzles, and games for your enjoyment, WiFi and expanded cable are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped.

The cabin is just minutes from golf at the Maggie Valley Club, The Wheels Through Time Museum, Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and The Biltmore Estate.

Also nearby are Harrah's Cherokee Casino, Cherokee Museum, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, gem mining, shopping, music, and more. Nothing is too far from Maggie Valley!

  • An incredible motorcycle museum! I found out about the place after seeing it on various tv shows, American Pickers, Chasing Classic Cars, and Jay Leno's Garage, included. Once you get inside, you really don't know how you are going to take it all in. It is huge! All of the motorcycles run and during our visit, the curator was starting and taking random bikes out for a spin. A must see!

We stayed at this cabin at the end of October 2025 and had a great time! The cabin was clean, neat, and tidy. There is a fire pit, hot tub, and great (and spacious) porch area. The inside has a nice kitchen area, nice living room, and good size dining area. There is a gas fireplace (which we used a lot!), and plenty of room in the bedrooms. The hosts leave you plenty of activities if you have kids, including foosball, puzzles, checkers, and other games. The cabin is near many food options (I highly recommend Joeys for breakfast and J Arthur’s for dinner), the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin is in a neighborhood with houses on each side but it was very quiet; there is also a nice little creek that you can walk down some stairs and access. The hosts will email you driving directions but know that Google is wonky and the road to get to the cabin is one way around the block with an incline to get to the cabin (and all downhill to get back to the main road).

What a great property, loved the outside spaces! The space and beds were comfortable. The indoors could be freshened up a bit and have some TLC. A few things need to be fixed and 2 of us had allergic reactions to something in the house - carpet, bed linens?? Overall a great place!

Perfect weekend getaway

My husband and I decided on a last minute getaway for some rest and relaxation before the busy Christmas season. We chose Creek’n Woods ll. It was absolutely perfect. The cabin is conveniently located near local eateries and shops. All though there are neighbors, it feels secluded and is quiet. The stream beside the cabin is very relaxing to listen to while in the hot tub or sitting by the fire pit on the lower deck.Our lab loved adventuring through the woods behind the cabin. The inside of the cabin is very cozy with a gas fireplace. The beds are super comfy as well as the rest on the furniture The gas grill came in handy for cooking meals when we were not trying out the local eateries.It was just what we needed. We would definitely recommend this cabin..

Maggie Valley

What a great place to stay, the kitchen has everything you would need including spices. The grill, fire pit and hot tub were all in working order. The rooms and living spaces are large and yet cozy. The decks have great views and we spent a lot of the day on the bench by the creek watching our dog enjoy the outdoors. Close to restaurants and bars. Will definitely rent again.

Cozy overload

This nice cabin is so cozy with magnificent decks leading down to creek with fire pit. The creek’s sounds were so relaxing and refreshing. Hot tub was a nice addition. We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin.

Great

Great house and great host. The stream in the back was like your own mini waterfall. You could hear it the moment you step out of the car. Really nice. Great porch with gate so with dogs it’s perfect. No complaints. Only con is there isn’t much of a yard and lots of neighbors but, quiet. Again not a complaint, just good to know depending on pets and needs. Definitely recommend.

Just not perfect!

Property owner/host excellent - easy to contact and quick to respond to questions. Pros: Clean linens. Ample supply of towels and comfy beds. Great Wifi/TV options. Ample supply of dishes (disposable and non disposable). Hot tub is great but not large enough for more than 4 adults! (too much chlorine, also). Nice, large dining room table! Things like coffee, trash bags, spices, sugar/flour, ice machine, tissue, etc. all provided! Lots of hot water and soap and shampoos. Grill was quite dirty but it worked perfectly! Cons: Online pictures make the inside of the home look much larger and much brighter. It is NEITHER. Inside lights have to be on at all times and the home isn't nearly as large as the pictures depict. If you are looking to "sit in the sun while rocking in a chair on the front porch", that won't happen. No direct sun at all. Neighbors are very close - which pictures do not show. Home has old "shag rug" that needs to be replaced - quite dirty. Entry into home using "key pad" is cumbersome. One stove burner was not working. One doorknob hard to get to work. Toilet seat broken! Most pots/pans very greasy. Neighborhood lost water service for 6 hours that finally turned back on after we all went to bed - we used buckets of hot tub water to flush toilets when needed. Overall, Maggie Valley is very nice, we just might not VRBO this property again.

Jewel of Maggie Valley

This home was nestled in the woods next to a lovely creek. We spent many evenings on the deck by the creek just enjoying the sounds of the water rushing by. Mornings we were on the wrap around front porch listening to the creek with a cup of coffee in hand. Both spots were wonderful. One reason we chose this location was someone's comments about how much their dog enjoyed the porch being fully enclosed. Our dog loved having the run of the porch. We also took our child-proof gate and placed it on one end of the walkway to the deck. Again, our dog had the run of the deck next to the creek. Everything was comfortable and gave us all we were looking for. Because we were in the woods, we did not have the mountain views we had at other locations in Maggie Valley, but the creek and the coolness of the woods was a great trade-off for us. Best comment I can make is - we will stay here again next year!

Our Second Stay!

This was our second stay at this property in Maggie Valley. Even though ownership has changed, the property and communication with the new owner was perfect! We love the location of the cabin. My two sons loved staying in the loft and playing Foosball. The creek is perfect and well maintained. They loved playing down there. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Maggie Valley in the future. Thank you!!

Peaceful setting

Though this home is in a neighborhood it is very private. We enjoyed listening to the creek while sitting by the fire pit and the hot tub atea was also private and peaceful. Beds were comfortable and the living room was cozy. This was a great spot and we were very happy to have the opportunity to stay here!

Wow/Wow/Wow - Amazing

My wife and I are not big drivers when it comes to family vacations, so heading to the mountains was a first for us from Florida. My wife researched a while for the perfect cabin and she really hit it out of the ball park. We had never been to NC and were just memorized by the beauty no matter where we looked, Then we got to the cabin and it was the icing on the cake. Beautiful wood ceilings and floors throughout, Jacuzzi, Firepit and the best part was the beautiful creek that ran down the mountain right next to it, listening to it 24/7 was so refreshing. Although it was still a little cold, my 5 year old still got in and had some fun in it. Maggie Valley is a quaint quiet town this time of year but a great location to get to all the surround sites, We went to Cherokee, Chimney Rock, Ashville, all within an hours drive. We had one small issue with the gas that the owner resolved immediately. The kids are already asking to go back in the summer, not ruling it out yet. Thanks again for a great vacation, your Cabin ROCKS!!
