Lyndhurst high street is just a short walk from the cottage and is full of coffee shops selling delicious treats, a wide variety of pubs and restaurants as well as lots of independent gift shops to explore. If you want to see the forest from on high, you can board the hop on, hop off double decker bus here too.
Visit Lymington's artisan market on a Saturday or wander down the cobbled streets and on to the harbour and marina.
The New Forest also has a stunning coast line. Keyhaven is known for it's bird wildlife, kite surfers and the split leading to Hurst Castle. The coastal path from here leads on to Milford on Sea with it's promenade and stunning views of the Isle of White.
