Super location
We had a very pleasant stay in Villa Ulivi. There are two houses with a total of 6 bedrooms. Both houses are in good condition and cosy. The location of the villa is superb. There is plenty of space on the property and a nice view. The best thing about the location is the short walk to the village of Lucignano, which is a very cozy little village on top of a hill. There is a baker, a butcher, a pharmacy, a small grocery store and a few other small shops. There are several restaurants and cafes. It only takes 10-15 minutes to walk to town. Lucignano is not very touristic and very cozy.
We missed air conditioning in the houses as it was very hot during the period we were there. It would also have been nice to have the option of more shade around the pool. There were no parasols.
There was a very nice maid who came several times a week and checked the pool and took away the rubbish. The person who was not very nice, however, was the old lady who met us at the start of the rental period and to whom we returned the keys at the end. She was very unhelpful with inquiries both before the visit and during the visit. It took 2 days to fix the internet which was not working on arrival. We never got an answer to where you could turn on various outdoor lights and other small things that you wondered about along the way. This old lady, who is possibly the owner, is clearly fed up with her job.
But this did not spoil the stay for us. We had a very nice time.
