This in town, 2 bedroom 2 bath penthouse is brand new and built above a two-year long meticulous renovation of an 1840’s church. The view is just spectacular! Big open living space with deck and separated bedrooms. Two big bedrooms each with sitting areas. There are two entrances one for summer one for winter. Parking out front. You recommended AIG insurance so we trusted you and purchased it. The next day we had a family issue and had to cancel. The insurance is a hoax and fraud. Never willnwe book with you anywhere ever again.

This is our third time staying at the penthouse in Lubec. It seems to get better each year. Very comfortable living quarters, and the view from the deck is mesmerizing. our host had everything we needed and check-in was very easy. We look forward to returning. Highly recommend.

Easy check-in. Facility was clean and was as it appears in the photos. Great views and close to walk to town. Only enough plates and glasses for 4. 37 steps to get to the door and parking for one car. A perfect place for two couples. Wonderful hiking trails in the area and minutes from Canada. Enjoyed the visit to Campobello island. A quaint little New England town.

Great communication with Geno. Perfect location within walking distance to coffee shop and brewery. Very quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and great to have the washer and dryer. Beautiful view from deck. Easy access to all hiking trails in Lubec, Cutler, and Campobello Island. Lubec is a special place and i would highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect in every way.

This space is lovely; clean, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, new bathrooms, and lots of space in the common area. The view over to Campobello was gorgeous. Easy walk to dinner and downtown. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding View

We wish we could've stayed longer! The property is a newly updated, fun and unique stay!! Beautiful views! Appreciated the well maintained sturdy wodden stairs up to the space. Geno is very friendly and accomidating! Short walk to dining, historic markers, and docs. Hope we find our way back to this lovely town!

Location and Views

We booked this for our wedding vows at Cutler Coast and could not have asked for a better stay. Some things we enjoyed: Waking up to views of the sunrise over the bridge to Campobello island. Enjoying the peaceful town of Lubec. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Cooking meals in the kitchen (I’m vegan, limited options for dining out in Lubec). The king sized bed. Two bathrooms. Lots of sun pouring through the windows and skylights. 10/10 recommend!

Scenic comfort.

We enjoyed a most wonderful week at Geno’s place. Many happy afternoons on the deck watching the tides and the birds! The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The walk into town is short. Very convenient to coffee and brewery! A great place to stay.

Wonderful views of the bridge to Campobello

We had a great visit to Lubec and Geno's place was a perfect place for our stay. Centrally located to the village, it was a convenient walk to all the amenities. Just be prepared to do a lot of stairs!

If you are going to the Lubec area, this is the place you will want to stay. The layout is great, the view is great, and the upfit/remodel job is great. Met the host, Geno, and he was great!

Creative penthouse design

The space is well designed, spacious, and comfortable. Plenty of amenities (even a washer and dryer). As others have mentioned, the view of the International Bridge from the deck is captivating. Geno had a wonderful vision in creating this lovely penthouse above the old church. I was lucky to meet the carpenter who worked on this renovation and got the whole tour. My stay coincided with the first wedding party downstairs - may there be many more!

Quaint property and town. Very walkable to most area restaurants and amenities. Played golf across the bridge at Herring Cove, a very pleasant surprise! Geno the owner was very friendly and accommodating.

lovely stay in peaceful Lubec

We stayed at Geno's place for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The rental apt is above an old church which is getting refinished as an event space. The apartment is wonderful, spacious, with all the amenities one would wish for. The best part was probably the big balcony with views of the bridge to Campobello. It was the perfect place for morning coffee and a glass of wine at night. Lubec and surroundings are lovely -- very quiet and peaceful. We can only recommend!

We loved our stay here at this beautifully and tastefully renovated old church. Quick walk into Lubec town and comfortable space for relaxing and enjoying Lubec like a native. (sort of!). Great place.

Wow!

What a special place tucked under the eaves of an old church building! Beautiful views, fog allowing. We could see both fireworks displays for Jul 4 for East Port and Lubec from the balcony. And Canada is 1000 yards away. Owner Geano is converting the building into a wedding /special events venue. Very special. Not handicap accessible! Lots of steps. We loved it and will stay here again should we be in the area.

Property is everything advertised and more!

The penthouse apt. sits stop the historic Methodist Church (1844), Odd Fellows Hall (1934), Rural Youth Corp. (1969). In need of TLC, host Geno answered the call in 2020-2021. Restoration of the downstairs portion of the bldg. is nearing completion but the stunning upstairs penthouse apt. is everything advertised and more - all the creature comforts you could desire and panormatic, stunning views from the deck of the International Bridge and Lubec channel. You will be tempted to stay put but that would be a mistake as Lubec and surrounding area is home to spectacular hiking/walking trails, incuding the iconic Maine Bold Coast Trail and the Cobscook Shore Park System, 15 spectacular parklands offering unique experiences and beautiful vistas. If you are looking for nightlife and lots of tourist amenities, Lubec is not for you. But if you're looking to re-charge in an out of the way place and experience Maine's Bold Coast, you couldn't ask for a better place to stay than this stunning penthouse apt. Geno is a superb host - a gregorous entrepreneur (ask him for a tour of the downstairs) with boundless energy!

Fantastic Vacation in Lubec

This place is a real step-up in a normal vacation rental! The home is wonderfully remodeled with all the creature comforts and some of the best views in Lubec. The location is perfect for both views and easy walks to local restaurants and shops - not to mention a very short drive into New Brunswick. Once we packed in our groceries and took a stroll by the lake, we didn't want to leave. We enjoyed the local restaurants, hiking trails, and many miles of beautiful road trips within easy driving distance. We will definitely be back!
