"So, in honesty, I booked this not knowing it was a bed and breakfast… BUT it turned out to be wonderful. It is called “The Sanctuary” for good reason. Dora and Ed are wonder hosts who definitely went above and beyond for our meager overnight stay. The room was clean, the property was so peaceful. "The hotel was good. The staff were really friendly. The room was spacious and clean. But the real bonus was the bar. Somehow, this hotel bar was like a neighborhood bar. There were regulars and it was like family. Not only the bartender, but everyone was extremely warm and welcoming. Maybe a little too much because I "somehow" got roped into a tic toc challenge! Lots of fun. I look forward to returning sometime in the future. "

"We loved the down to earth atmosphere. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed chatting with Cheryl, the breakfast host. She did an amazing job stocking up on the breakfast items and she gave us ideas of things to do in Detroit. The place was quiet and the beds were exceptionally comfortable.
