A perfect Central London location in SE1 (all to yourself) with a king size bed and a separate double bed - approximately 25 minutes walk to Tower Bridge and close to many fantastic London attractions such as Tower of London, London Bridge, Southwark Park etc. You will have the place to yourself. For independent shopping, bars, cafés, and restaurants, Bermondsey can’t be beaten. Alongside this, it has a thriving arts and culture scene with one of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries, White Cube, together with the Fashion and Textile Museum, the brainchild of flamboyant fashion designer Zandra Rhodes and the Bridge Theatre, a 900-seat venue developed by theatre and film director Sir Nicholas Hytner. Plus, the proposed new multi arts and cultural hub on the High Street incorporating cinema, gallery and exhibition space will provide an all-day community centre.

A foodie mecca, Bermondsey is overflowing with a stunning and varied selection of eateries from street food to independent bistros to Maltby St Market plus the infamous Bermondsey Beer Mile. After indulging in the artisan food scene, locals can take a stroll around Bermondsey Spa Gardens or the Antiques Market, known as one of the five best in Europe. Natural History Museum. Looking to enjoy an event or a game? See what's going on at O2 Arena or ExCeL Exhibition Centre, which are an easy commute (under 30 min) from Bermondsey station.

-1 - 2 bedroom garden flat, There is a king-size bed in the bedroom, and a mezzanine including a comfortable double bed in the living room with 90cm headspace. There is a small ladder which leads up to this bed. In the hallway, there is a small step which leads to the kitchen. The kitchen has all the mod cons including a dishwasher, stove and oven. The apartment is located a 14 min walk to Bermondsey Underground Station - Zone 2 on the Jubilee line or a 10 min bus ride to Elephant & Castle - Zone 1 on the Bakerloo and Northern lines. The neighbourhood offers a quiet environment with a local park just 5 minutes away and also two supermarkets close by.

The space

The space is nicely furnished with all the equipment needed to guarantee a comfortable stay. The bathroom is a good size with a bathtub.

There is a charming L-shaped south-facing garden which captures the sunshine from 9am until 6pm, perfect for the warm weather!

- The bedroom will be prepared for you with sheets and a bath towel for each person.

-There is a mezzanine double bed (second bed) with 90cm headspace accessed via a ladder in the living room

-Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, hob, toaster, coffee machine and a kettle. You will also find some cooking pots, plates, glasses, cutlery etc. Please just help yourself!

Guest access

-Once you make a booking I will provide you with the address of the apartment, we will then arrange a particular time to meet for the check-in.

-Upon arrival, I will show you a few things you need to know and hand you the key. If you have any questions you are more than welcome to ask.

The broader area

Within a 30 minute commute on the tube, or a 20-25 minute taxi ride, you can discover Hyde Park, Oxford Street, Regent’s Park, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Westminster Abbey, Selfridges and many more of London’s attractions, making your trip one to remember. From this location, you can easily access Gatwick Airport too. It's a quick 10 minute cab from London Bridge station. Heathrow is also easily accessible.

This area surrounding your property is full of cafes, restaurants, shops, and supermarkets, making it easy to enjoy coffee, lunch, and dinner out within the vibrant area. With our years of experience within London, we recommend visiting Maltby Street Market, or the many breweries and cideries on Enid Street. If you would like to experience a more traditional British experience, try out one of our London pubs from St James Of Bermondsey to The Gregorian.

To further discover London heritage, you can also visit several museums like the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Science Museum, while London's iconic South Bank is a quick 20 minute bus ride away on the #1 bus or a 45 minute stroll along the Thames.

Perfect stay for calms nights close to London !
We stayed at Jo's 5 nights and it was perfect ! We were two friends, and each had our own bed, one big bedroom, and one mezzanine bed in the leaving room. Lot of space to put our own stuff, and Jo generously let us use all of her stuff :) Being in her own flat gives a very appreciated homey vibe, and the little garden is a must with sunny weather ! Jo is super welcoming and has tons of good adresses ! Thank you again for the easy and great stay !

Nice cozy flat
The stay was good and it’s a perfect spot for 2-3 people! Not in a crazy busy area which is nice for when you need to go to bed. But also a short walk to some nice pubs and food areas. 15 minute walk to the tube system which was nice. Lights were hard at first but super easy once you figure out the system! Overall a nice stay for the price.

Nette Unterkunft Nähe Tower Bridge
Wir (1 Erw., 2 Teenager, aus Deutschland) haben unseren London-Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Gastgeberin Jo war super nett und flexibel mit allem. Wir durften z.B. am Abreisetag unser Gepäck noch bis zum Nachmittag dort aufbewahren. Die Wohnung ist voll eingerichtet und wird normalerweise von der Gastgeberin bewohnt. Also sind auch ihre Sachen darin, aber man hat genug Platz, es sich selbst gemütlich zu machen. Das WLAN hat gut funktioniert, es sind auch Steckdosenadapter vorhanden. Das große Doppelbett und das Hochbett sind bequem, wir haben alle gut geschlafen. Die Lage ist in einer ruhigen, ganz normalen Wohngegend. Der Weg zur U-Bahn dauert mit flottem Schritt ca. 10-15 Minuten, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Bus sind noch näher dran. Man ist inkl. Fußwege in ca. 45 Minuten bei den üblichen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Fußweg bis Tower Bridge gute halbe Stunde - ein schöner Abendspaziergang. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Cosy stay in Bermondsey
The apartment is cosy with your own little backyard and is fully equipped with anything you need. Jo is very nice and helpful and quick to answer when you need to ask something. The surroundings are peaceful and it's just a short walk to hop on a bus.

Very nice house and excellent position
we stayed at jo webber's place in july, the house is very nice and clean, and there are the dishwasher, the kitchen and the washing machine. the position is excellent you can easily arrive to london bridge station and to the center of London with the subway. The host was really helpful and the communication with her was perfect and fast.

Pros: - Nicely located place. Around 12-15 min walk to Jubilee line, which brings you downtown quickly. - Jo was super super reachable for questions and helped to get accommodated. - All needed basic amenities to stay for week+. Cons: - This place is not fully dedicated for rental, and somebody lives there. This has implications on the setup: there were clothes in places, some pills on the table, food in the fridge, random stuff here and there, etc. etc. I personally did not expect that there would be that much stuff. The pictures were a bit misleading since they did not show that part carefully. Overall good stay.
