"What a great find this was....
Originally I was looking for a nice hotel for the night as a little treat with my partner.
Due to the Take That performing at Swansea.Com Stadium the same night. Hotel prices were sky high, nearly all had over doubled in price, some asking £400+.
Than out of the blue I find this beauty.....
Absolutely stunning views as far as the eye can see all round. Hot tub was amazing heated by a log burner. Comfortable seating area with a fire pit and bbq. The lake was massive...
"Booked this hotel as the rest of our large group were staying at The Ivy Bush Hotel opposite, where they had been recommended.
We were not disappointed, the hotel was beautifully decorated and everywhere spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was included and was scrummy.
Our friends at The Ivy Bush were extremely disappointed with their accommodation and evening meal and next time will book the Spilman Hotel.

"Very spacious, clean room and bathroom with a comfortable bed. This was a great space to sleep before setting out each day to explore the area. Amazing view from the room. The breakfast was lovely. The owners, Bob and Olha were extremely kind and friendly. The property has a beautiful garden and one afternoon when we decided to explore it, we caught Bob and Olha working on their new pool project. Apparently it is going to be a great place where guests can relax and have a picnic. We will...
"Wasnt clear how to check in, but rung in the morning and was advised to call to pub for room card.
The room was very clean, and well presented. Can see they are looked after. Nice walk in shower with 2 separate heads.
Plenty of storage for clothes etc.
Bed was very comfortable and made for a great night sleep.
The food served at the Pen Y Cae was amazing and all the staff we encountered throughout our stay were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much bother for them. "
