I was surprised that the hotel did not have AC in the rooms However, we were there when the weather was cool and the room was comfortable. The large fan also kept the air moving.

I stayed in the Grand Suite. The bathroom sink was a let down as not a nice big one like in the pictures. It was a standard small sink, so you’d expect all the nice touches for a £400 room for two nights. Bath filled with shower water and glass panel leaked on to the floor. Again not things you’d expect to come across for a Suite. Charged late check out of £25 for 10 mins, due to not being able to find my back card, staff stood at the door whilst we checked room and staff didn’t even discuss this with me on the day.

Dear Jennifer,We are never happy charging any of our guests a late check out fee but we do remind all of our guests at the time of booking and within our terms that checkout is strictly 11:00am.The housekeeping team are organised the day before from our room allocation, therefore if a guest checks out late the housekeeper must stay over the prescribed hours they have been allocated for that day which the hotel then has to pay additional wages.You mentioned you asked for late checkout but we had already allocated all the availability for that day. Property is stunning. We had room 302 which was beautiful and huge! Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying here again

My TV remote did not work. It was reported and I was assured it would be fixed in time for the morning but it was not. No TV as a solo traveller was very disappointing

The location was very convenient, the room well appointed and clean. Our only issue, which was not the fault of this hotel, was the noise level from a nearby establishment (heavy, pounding base). The desk clerk was sympathetic and informed us that it would stop at 10:30 pm, which it did, but it did put a damper on our visit, sorry to say.

Location was 10/10. It was close to everything! Staff (especially Kerry :) was also 10/10. The issues we had with this hotel were: 1 - NOISE It is attached to a night club and it is VERY loud at night. There was also vomit on the front step and drunk people out front all night. 2- HEAT The UK was having a heatwave when we were there. I know this is not a common occurrence, but the temperature in the hotel was UNBEARABLE. We were sweating non-stop and had 3 terrible sleeps. Kerry went out of her way to make us comfortable, offering us fans for the room, but it was still uncomfortable. 3 - SMELL The hallways smell. I'm not sure if it's the carpet or what, but as soon as you get off the elevator, it hits hard. We would not stay here again.

Hi Lindsay,We must agree that the hotel is in an amazing location surrounded by all the best restaurants and bars and minutes walk from Liverpool One shopping.Castle street is one of the busiest streets in Liverpool so on Friday and Saturday night music can be heard playing from the surrounding bars.Your stay was at the time of one of a heatwave. We don't have air conditioning at the hotel but I believe you were given 2 fans. I'm sorry this made no difference but this effected every business and home in Liverpool.I do hope you will stay again and hope your journey home was a smooth and safe one.Kind regardsManagement Team

We were in Liverpool for The Open, and the location cannot be beat with the hotel being in the heart of the city centre and a block from the James Street Station. The staff were amazing, especially Pete, who helped me get a discount on additional unplanned extra night of stay due to the UK rail strike. Big room in a historic building that was really close to everything we wanted in Liverpool. Thanks again!

The executive suite was lovely and big. Clean and cosy. A fan was a helpful addition for a hot few days of summer for sleep time. Ideally located for the conference I was attending. Easy to get my run done each morning. And the front desk staff were lovely! Shout out to Peter!

Good price for the room we had But you had to pay a £100 deposit refundable but had to have your bank card couldn’t Apple Pay that could of been a problem if I never had card with me and you need photo I’d although I’m from liverpool myself but apart from that all good
