Beautiful three course meal by candlelight in a stunning dining room with silver service and a very charming Gentleman who entertained us all after dinner with his talent playing a beautiful big Harp and Grand piano while we enjoyed a cocktail.
We will definitely be going back....

"Appeared cosy/old style on pictures but not so in real life. Pub and food were fine, but not the rooms. Beds were clean and comfortable. But everything else was in pretty bad shape. Spiderweb in every corner (and spiders). Although bathrooms appeared recently renovated, showers in both rented rooms did not work. We mentioned it to staff the first day but no action was taken. Our impression was that everything pub-related (ground floor) was fine, and staff very friendly/helpful. But the “hotel”...

The stair carpet is worn and decor rather tired in the entrance. Sadly they ran out of eggs and brown bread at breakfast and sausages were tasteless but rest of cooked breakfast was fine. Friendly hosts and a quiet location with great view from the restaurant. Good amount of parking in front of hotel"

Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order.

Both of us found the bed a little soft for our liking. There are no restaurants close by within easy walking distance, but there are plenty of choices by car within 10 - 20 mins."
