Eguzkilore is an apartment located on the main avenue of Lekeitio. With an exceptional location—across from the sports center and the Ertzaintza police station, and next to the old lighthouse house and the fishermen's guild—it enjoys stunning sea and beach views from the fourth floor, where it is situated. You can also admire the impressive Garraitz Island, accessible at low tide via a footbridge from Isuntza beach. It is worth climbing the four flights of stairs to compensate for the building’s lack of an elevator.

The apartment has been partially renovated, with a significant facelift, and continues the ancient Basque tradition of protecting the home from evil spirits by placing a dried eguzkilore—a type of thistle—on the door, as was done in old farmhouses.

Eguzkilore tastes of the sea: every room has sea views—either from the room’s windows or from the balcony accessible from the kitchen, where you can admire the beautiful beaches of Isuntza and Carraspio, as well as the walkway to Garraitz Island. A spectacular view to be enjoyed from the privacy and shelter of the covered balcony, where you can have breakfast or lunch while listening to the relaxing sound of the breeze and waves.

Although it will be hard to leave the comfort and views of the home, Lekeitio and the surrounding area also offer many landscapes and activities, inviting you to explore the coast and the charm and history of inland towns such as Gernika or Durango. The Basque capitals are also within about an hour’s drive.

Eguzkilore accommodates 4 people across 3 bedrooms: two with double beds and one with two 0.90m single beds. Each room features wardrobes and all the comforts needed for rest. The living room is very bright, with large windows and a sofa for enjoying TV or a chat with friends or family. The fully equipped kitchen has direct access to the aforementioned balcony with sea and beach views. The bathroom includes a shower tray—perfect for rinsing off the sea salt and enjoying a relaxing shower. The white walls and neutral tones provide plenty of natural light.

Access to the apartment is keyless. You’ll need to download an app to open the doors and check in before arrival. A €200 deposit will also be charged digitally and refunded in full once the cleaning service confirms the proper use of the property.
