A modern sea-view villa with infinity pool within easy walking distance of the tavernas, cafés and harbour of Sivota.
With its enticing views of and easy access on foot to Sivota Bay, Villa Ella is an easy, practical home from home offering plenty of space for al fresco living and well-thought-out accommodation for up to eight guests. Its position is ideal for discovering the south of Lefkada, from the beach of Mikros Gialos to the water sports hub of Vassiliki.
Inside: accommodation at Villa Ella is spread over a main house and a guest house.
The main house is all on one level and is accessed via wide sliding glass doors which lead in to a luminous open-concept communal area, comprising a comfortably furnished sitting area, and a well-equipped modern kitchen with a breakfast bar island.
A couple of steps up from here lead to a corridor, off which is a guest WC and three bedrooms:
• a double-twin with en-suite shower room
• a double with en-suite shower room
• the main bedroom, a double with en-suite shower room with a switchable glass window
All three bedrooms have sea views and large sliding glass doors leading out onto the long panoramic terrace and the pool area.
The guesthouse is located at the bottom of the driveway leading up to the main house. Here there is an open-plan living and dining area with a kitchenette, a shower room, and, on an open mezzanine a double bedroom.
Outside: al fresco fun at Villa Ella revolves around a large sea-view terrace that sweeps along the entire façade of the main house. All the rooms flow out onto this most convivial of spots. Quality, designer furniture and a retractable electronic awning allow guests to relax in both style and comfort.
At one end is an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and a fridge, and a bar area with stools looking out to sea.
In the centre, flanked by a dining table, a sitting area and sunloungers, is the lovely infinity pool, whose shallow shelf allows sun worshippers to partially submerge themselves in the cooling water. A counter current swimming jet, meanwhile, means that keen swimmers are also well catered for.
At the far end of the terrace, a few steps lead down to another cushioned sitting area wrapped around a firepit.
Last, but certainly not least, steps lead up from near the barbecue area to a wonderfully panoramic roof terrace, which is home to an extremely well-equipped NOHrD gym with treadmill, elliptical trainer, cable machine, wall bars, weights and much more besides.
Some areas, of this property, including the pool, may be overlooked, though there is screening to minimise this.
Villa Ella features a fantastic infinity pool, offering swimmers stunning views while in the pool. There is a drop off the infinity side so we recommend children are supervised at all times. Please refer to our general safety page if you would like more information about infinity pools.
Villa Ella sits in a panoramic position in the southeast of Lefkada above buzzing Sivota harbour, whose popular waterfront tavernas, cafés and boat hire options are within walking distance down a country path (about 500m) or a 3-minute drive.
Also within an easy drive of Villa Ella is a good selection of beaches, including those at Afteli, Ammousa, Vassiliki and Mikros Gialos.
Exploring the island of Lefkada, which is 35km long and 15km wide, is relatively easy in a week (if you can pull yourselves away from the views and pool of the villa!) and offers a great deal to see and do. The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline includes a host of golden sandy beaches and the dramatic white cliffs Cape Lefkatas on the southern tip. The wooded mountains of the interior, some of which rise to over 1,100m, offer excellent walking, some truly beautiful scenery and a scattering of unspoilt villages where the way of life remains profoundly connected to the island's ancient traditions and customs.
The island's capital, Lefkada Town, meanwhile, is a buzzing centre with plenty of seafront tavernas and bars, a good selection of shops, and a busy marina.
At its northern point Lefkada is connected to mainland Greece by a causeway and, via frequent ferry services from the port of Nidri, to several of the other islands of the Ionian archipelago (including nearby Meganissi), making it eminently possible to explore further afield.
