Our stay was negatively impacted by repeated poor customer service from the bar hostess. On our first day, we specifically asked the receptionist whether we could bring our own drinks to the sitting area, and we were told that it was allowed. Based on that information, we felt comfortable doing so during our stay.
By our third day, she began putting up signs and continued to harass us, stating, “This is the last time I will tell you,” even though we had already explained that we were acting based on guidance from the front desk. What made this especially uncomfortable was that we felt singled out, and the repeated confrontations came across as targeted and discriminatory, raising serious concerns about possible racial bias.
Clear communication between staff and respectful treatment of guests are essential. Unfortunately, this ongoing behavior overshadowed our experience and reflects poorly on the hotel’s customer service standards. I hope management addresses both the inconsistency in policy communication and the lack of professionalism shown.
