The Cabins at Blacktail property sits on a beautiful, secluded and heavily forested 5 acres. The surroundings are quiet, the creek is audibly flowing, the stars are bright and lights are dim. With the town of Lakeside just 3 miles away, you will feel tucked away in the wilderness yet close to all the comforts of city life close by.
Lakeside offers quaint local coffee shops, a fully stocked grocery store, a fun and delicious brewery - Tamarack Brewing and the only publicly accessed park and "beach" in the surrounding area - Volunteer Park. Rent paddle boards, kayaks or take a dip in the cool crystal clear waters of Flathead Lake. Play frisbee, have a picnic or sip a coffee or tea with a good book.
Visiting in late summer? Pick fresh huckleberries mountainside or pick up some cherries and apples from Lakeside's family owned Cherry Haus. Day trip? Travel up to Glacier National Park at just 45 minutes away but make sure you have reserved your day pass. With Whitefish, Kalispell and Bigfork within short driving distance, the opportunities are endless for an incredible adventure!
Guests may respectfully enjoy the Island, upper outdoor community yard game area and private decks and patios outside of your cabin.
**Please do not wade in the white pebble natural spring as it disrupts the plants and water flow.**

If evidence, either smell, physical or property camera evidence is found, there will be a $1000 fine enforced and paid by the booking guest. We take this very seriously as we are heavily forested and our guest experiences are of highest importance.

Take a walk down the path between Cabin 2 & 3 to the “Island.” Follow the meandering spring and creek, look for small trout and admire the magical moss, foliage and towering pines.

We recommend reserving your car through a local rental car company or Turo. 4WD/AWD is required Spring ,Fall and Winter as our driveway is winding. If you are looking for transportation, we can direct you to our 2022 Ford Transit XLT 12 passenger van listing on Turo to accompany your stay.
