"David and the House was amazing"

"The owners of the property are wonderful people and managed an inn with a fascinating history. The inn was well maintained and in the early 19th century the second floor was the quarters for slaves that supported the main house, which has since been destroyed by fire. The house is full of displays, photographs, books, and furniture from days gone by. An interesting and educational visit."

"The owners made you feel at home in their beautiful old home. The backyard bluff view of the river was very nice with nice chairs. Very quiet and serene. Highly recommend for a nice stay on the north side of town"

"We loved our stay at Riverboat Bed and Breakfast!!! We were met by Mary Beth who was absolutely wonderful. The historical home was gorgeous and so accommodating. We only stayed one night, which next time I won’t make that mistake lol, so we didn’t have much time there but we definitely enjoyed every minute of our trip. I can’t wait to go back!!! ❤️"

"Absolutely wonderful. Very nice house. Tastefully decorated with a lot of oil paintings and antiques . Coleen was an excellent host. Breakfast was a fruit cup with yogurt, chicken and waffles, coffee and juice. Big and Belle were loving fur babies. Absolutely a 10+."

"This place is a treasure! We stayed in the next door property owned by the same people and both homes are so charming! The rooms were all quite big and they even gave us the room that adjoined another! Everything was clean and well organized.The bed was very comfortable and everything was just so thoughtfully designed. Eleanor and Ron were perfect hosts. If you have the chance, this place is worth the visit. Thank you for a wonderful experience!"

"We stayed in the Carriage House, which despite being very old did have modern facilities. The air conditioning and shower were very good. The bed was comfortable with nice linen. It was good to have the option to stream films on the TV. We were sent an email from our host with instructions to access the property and park which also gave good recommendations to local restaurants and attractions."

"Farrah was wonderful and made it fun. She told us the best places to eat and even took us to the Saloon where the locals like to go listen to live music. This experience was truly like being with friends instead of hotels that just make you feel that you are just an unknown room number."

"When you stay at The Pillars, you’re transported to yesteryear, when things were quieter, softer, more genteel than present day. Even the house cats seem relaxed, as they casually study the guests and decide to offer you their welcome. The surroundings, from decor to bed linens are sumptuous, and the overall feeling is one of quiet discovery as you imagine yourself living there in a different century."

"An absolutely Divine Stay! June was Hot but the charming pool was a refreshing quench at the end of the day. Big beach towels in a cute pool bag were provided in the room for us. The complementary tour of the house was gorgeous! The Garden & Veranda areas were well maintained and in full bloom. Our Hosts were most Gracious & the Ladies of their staff are very attentive, accommodating and just precious, wonderful people. The Douglas room on the 1st floor had easy access to everything. "Fantastisk dejligt og autentisk sted. Super venligt personale, pæne rene værelser med møbler der passer til stedet. Gode senge og godt badeværelse. Flot park. Morgenmad er inkl og laves efter ønske. Dejlig restaurant - aldrig fået bedre fried chicken. Vil til enhver tid anbefale stedet."

"Lovely property with an incredible view. Peaceful, beautiful and a great escape from a busy hectic life. Our room was clean, well thought out with lots of windows and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend. We loved it!!!!"
