"Værtspar med begrænsede engelsk kundskaber, meget ringe forståelse for service midsat hvad vi ellers oplever i USA. Morgenmad under al kritik - tørre mandariner, tørt brød, frossen yougurt, intet kogt vand til at lave te og de enkelte dele var spredt ud over lokalet uden nogen form for logik. Så slet ikke værten den ene morgen. Som mulig kompensation for den alternative morgenmad, kom bedstefaderen, der intet engelsk forstod, og uddelte indisk sød slik, med sine egne fingre! Bruseren var i stykker. Gode senge og tv'et virkede."
