A great stay!
This is such a gem of a stay! We were beyond impressed with how awesome the hosts have everything set up! From an easy check in, incredibly clean and well kept property, to all the little touches they have throughout the home! Super comfortable and would happily stay again.

Diamond in the rough
Wanted to spend my last week of a long job outta town somewhere other than a hotel. 2.5 months of the same room got stagnet and motivation draining. Found this lovely abode just outside of boji for a few bucks more per night.. an it had me wondering why i hadnt switched up my accommodations sooner than my last week on the job. The outdoor space took the cake, and everything was very clean inside. Much more "at home" than a hotel.

Family gathering
House was Super clean and lovely. Enjoyed the variety snacks and the coffee selection. Backyard area was nice to eat at. Sadly, it rain so we could not enjoy it the following nights. It’s a little far from the Okoboji lake area, but it was nice to get out of the hustle bustle. Would stay there again.

Cozy Cottage
This comfy, clean and cozy property was the perfect place to land after busy days at the nearby Okoboji resort area! There were many perks- 3 bedrooms with queen size beds, 2 full baths, a game room with an arcade Pac Man game, great backyard and more!

Perfect for our family!

Lake Park stay
Excellent place to stay. Tyson and Ellen are very accommodating and courteous. They ensure there are all the basic amenities and it definitely makes the place a go-to for future stays in the area. Everyone in our group agreed that we will use this place again.

Lake Park Getaway
Great place to stay! So cozy and clean. It was close enough to everything, yet away from all the crowds. The town has a great little park and don't miss out on the Blurry Bigfoot cafe! The hosts were wonderful and made sure everything you needed was there.

Iowa Hospitality at its Finest
Roxie and Clark are the friendliest hosts we have had the pleasure of staying with so far. They were just a phone call away if we had any questions or needed recommendations. Roxie even made sure there was hot cocoa and marshmallows in the kitchen for my kiddos! The house is small on the out side, but inside it’s definitely big enough for a large family or get together. Beautiful and clean, it was a relaxing place to rest after a day at Arnold’s Park or shopping around the lake. We would not hesitate to stay there again next time we are in the Iowa Great Lakes area.

Soccer tournament in Okoboji
Such a great place to stay. Not too far from the tournament in Okoboji. A nice small town. Walked to the Blurry Bigfoot coffee on our last day and was so nice. A perfect place to stay with teenagers since it rained most of one of the days. My husband enjoyed reliving his younger “Galaga” days with the video game system. I just wished I would have found this place prior to this year. Will definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

Very nice and cozy home!
We stayed here for a weekend getaway for my moms birthday. This place was great! I have stayed in many vacation homes and this far exceeded my expectations. Very quaint and cozy, nicely decorated, very clean and great amenities. House had everything we needed and we had plenty of room for the six of us. Roxie even had snacks and coffee for us! She was also very attentive and helpful when we had questions about the area. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay again sometime!

Great place
We loved our stay in Lake Park. This house is clean and adorable. The extra space (living area, game area, bedroom, full bath, and laundry room!) in the basement was hands down the best surprise! Roxi was extremely accommodating and attentive. This is a perfect option if you are looking for a more aforable stay that is close to all amenities of the Okaboji area. We also got to enjoy the shops and restaurants that Lake Park had to offer and were not disappointed! I would definitely stay again!

Father/son annual fishing trip
Property was exactly as described. Beautiful home and extremely quiet area. Close to several lakes for fishing. Local establishments had cold drinks, great food, and everyone made you feel like you were at home. Would definitely rent again. Perfect Getaway
All the positives listed are not exaggerations, This cute house was spotless and had had everything we could have needed during our visit to Okoboji. There were seven of us, but we never felt too crowded. There were snacks left for us, too, and plenty of coffee. The local grocery store served us well, but go to the nearby walmart if you want to save some money. The Three queen beds were super comfortable, and there was a bounty of fresh clean towels for seven showers in the spacious bathrooms. We found a gem and would gladly come back next time we stay in Okoboji.

The PERFECT spot to stay with friends or family!
My husband and 2 kids (4 and 1.5) and friends family with kids (5,3,1) stayed here so we could go to the waterpark and the nature center and have a little get away! Another friend with her 2 kids (4, 1) visited during one day as well. We could not have been happier! I only did 4 stars for accuracy because this place has WAY more than what is listed! There is a playground just a block away, the backyard is all privacy fenced in, yard games, beautiful seating and fire! The house was perfectly clean and there are extra cots to set up!! We arrived after a long drive to meat and cheese and waters in the fridge amongst other wonderful snacks! This is above and beyond!

Perfect place to stay!!
Needed a place to stay near Okoboji for the 4th of July. This was the perfect location. Absolutely the cutest, cleanest rental we have ever stayed in with all the amenities and more. Hosts were great! Would definitely stay again!

AMAZING
Words seriously cannot explain how amazing our experience was at The Getaway. As soon as we walked in, all of the girls were blown away. The cottage is super adorable and very clean. The best part of our experience was how accommodating Roxanne and Clark were for us. The girls and I have already decided to save this cottage for our next girls trip! I can honestly say The Getaway was the best experience I’ve ever had. Thank you Roxanne and Clark for making our weekend at the cottage amazing!

Pleasant quiet neighborhood.
We rented this home for the winter kite festival on Lake Okoboji. We have never been to these festivities, we had a glorious time. The house was perfect for my husband me and our 4 friends. We were all very happy with the accomodations.

The Getaway Experience
Annual girls weekend with friends. We have been doing this for 16 years. As we let Roxie know, this was top 3 of the rental places that we have stayed in thus far. It was clean, 2 bathrooms are awesome for 6 woman, and only 30 minutes from the hustle and bustle. We had a great time!

I can't say enough good things about this lovely house! Super clean, all new everything - tasteful and restful. The kitchen had simply everything we could have needed, including coffee, and the meat and cheese platter that greeted us upon our arrival was icing on the cake.
