Det er optimalt, hvis man er til vandreruter. Vi var oppe på Helms Crag, og det var en spændende tur derop og en fantastisk udsigt. Selve hotellet er rigtig lækkert, men spaen kunne trænge til en opdatering. Vi fik massage, men det kan ikke anbefales, da det var alt for overfladisk. "Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good. Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner. Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous. Wouldn’t stay here again ."

"This is a repeat trip to this hotel. set in the glorious countryside of Grasmere. The hotel has a quaint but contempoary feel. all the staff from arrival to leaving were understadig and willing to talk to us about the spa, food or the amenities. We had an upstairs upgrade room with Jacuzzi bath and balcony overlooking the adjacent stream. We visited the compact spa which was welcome after a days hiking and lasted one half hour by our choice. "It is a beautiful hotel and all the staff was fantastic!! The room was amazing! Fiona at the front desk went out of her way to welcome us. A perfect person to start our hotel stay. Very informative and welcoming! Our dinner and breakfast host Manjo (I probably have spelled his name wrong) was GREAT!
