"Beautiful gardens. Access to the lake for paddleboard etc. although fairly steep walk down and back. Saw a couple of deer on the walk down. Quirky layout of the building. No clear directions on check in and lots of 'staff only' areas and doors. Sitting areas have great views. Need to be fit enough to carry luggage up stairs. Comfortable room and bed. Rooms not soundproofed. Old fashioned key. Lovely hot water. Dinner was good. "
"Really lovely stay. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and well kept, with a modern bathroom. The spa was excellent, and it was especially nice to relax in the hot tub overlooking the mountains. Breakfast had a great range of options, including a hot breakfast and continental selection, and the food was excellent. Would definitely stay again. The only slight downside was the £10 parking charge, although I appreciate parking in the area is limited."

"Fantastic central location in Bowness - an abundance of shops and restaurants are on the doorstep, and the jetty is a just a short walk away. The allocated parking is a huge benefit. The garden outside the property is absolutely stunning, and the room was spacious, spotless, comfortable and full of charming character (the Puddle-Ducks theme was a lovely touch). The morning breakfast hamper with breads, fruit, yogurt, and juice was really nice too. Highly recommended"
