Amazing condo - so clean and great amenities. The kitchen was well stocked and we really enjoyed the pool. No issues with parking and neighborhood was quiet. You need a car regardless, but location was pretty central for travel around the island.

A seamless check in & we were off to a great start. The house spotless. The decor attractive and interesting. Loved the color accents. Very spacious w/all one could ask for. Fully stocked kitchen, w/d with detergent & softener, games even insulated bags for day trips. So thoughtful. Bedrooms all a great size w/extremely comfortable beds. Views from the top were beautiful & the sweet room w/TV was a relaxing spot. The pool & area superb. Loved the clever "living" wall panels. WiFi was great & parking right out front. No detail spared. Bravo. Communication w/ Al Acores top notch. A shout out to Wonder Island car rental a stellar company to deal with. Central Parque in Lagoa a real find- fantastic everything! Michel Restaurant in Ponta Delgada is too good to be truedo not miss this place. Bar Calourablissfuland a day at Santa Barbara beach w/ lunch and cocktails at TukaTula is another must do! The location of the Don Jose home is fabulous for all excursions on the breathtaking island of Sao Miguel🤩

We had a great stay. The house was very clean and conveniently located. There was one good restaurant within walking distance. The town was very nice. I would say a rental car is a must for this location. It was conveniently located though nearby to a grocery store and easy to get to other locations on the island. Communication with the property manager was great. No issues would stay there again.

We had the BEST stay here. House was amazing, had everything we needed and more. Check-in and out were seamless. Host was so responsive with anything we needed. Great location, parking right out front. Pool was amazing and the rooftop space was perfect to watch the sunsets and relax. We could not have asked for a better place or host. Hope to return soon!!

Great place for family

This is a very nice centrally located property in a small community. The kitchen and family room are nicely equipped. The appliances are new including an outdoor Weber grill.The bedrooms are nicely appointed and comfortable.The pool is small but certainly adequate to relax in after a day of travel, hiking , etc. The pool temperature was a little on the cool side.There were plenty of kids toys and games including a high chair.Be careful if you use the garage in that the door is on a timer and will close automatically. It almost struck our rental car. On a side note, if you choose to rent a car I would avoid Guerin (Alamo, Enterprise) They will charge if there is ANY sign of nicks or scratches on the vehicle. The tires on our car were almost bald and no surprise, I got a flat tire on the first day.The home management team at AL Acores were very responsive to any questions or concerns.Note that check in is at 5PM so plan on some activities the day you arrive if you get to the island early.Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great house in a quiet neighborhood

Spacious and clean house in a quiet neighborhood. The view on the rooftop was gorgeous. The house has everything we need as a family, and only a short drive to the supermarket. Communication was easy and prompt via WhatsApp. The pool was heated to 25 degrees Celsius, which was a bit cold for the kids, so they only used it once.

Such a wonderful stay in Lagoa

Wow! This was our second time on São Miguel and first time staying in Lagoa. We chose Don Jose because of the space. This time my partner and I were traveling with our mothers.The location in Lagoa was wonderful. Close enough to walk to cafes & town center and easy parking.The home is so spacious. Lots of room to spread out and not feel cramped at all. A great amount of outdoor space too. We were there in winter, so it was pretty rainy, we didn't get to use the BBQ but if we stay again we definitely will. The views from the roof deck are beautiful!!The rooms were also spacious with plenty of closets. Beds were very comfortable.Communication with our hosts was prompt, gracious and accommodating. Our flight arrived early in the morning so we booked the reservation for the day before to ensure we could check in promptly. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home

This home was absolutely incredible, the pictures don't really do it justice. The rooftop deck gives great views of the sunset and the pool was a great way to unwind after a day of activities. There were multiple spaces to hang out during the day and evenings and we took full advantage of the kitchen. Overall we would absolutely recommend this home!

Amazing home base

This was a girls trip with best friends and we had an amazing stay. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but there’s great food and coffee within walking distance. The rooms have usb converters and the beds are comfy. The pool is awesome and warm.

Amazing stay in Lagoa

We had a wonderful four days at this property. Communication with the property manager was great, including the check-in process. The house was clean, well-equipped and in a nice neighborhood and walking distance to several local restaurants. It is also centrally located on the island and a short drive to all of the areas of interest. Would highly recommend, particularly for families traveling with children.

Great house

The accomodation is wonderful. The specious house was very clean and equipped with more than one can ask for. For example the Veggie Bullel, TV Firesticks, gas grill, plenty of spices in the kitchen and all cleaning products were available. It is nice arrive at the house and you don`t need to think about the basics. Plenty of room for two families and the kids really enjoyed the heated pool.

The perfect home base for Sao Miguel!

Fabulous property with easy access to the entire island! It is centrally located in Lagoa on the southern coast with no more than a 30-45 minute drive to your next adventure; and almost every destination will have stops along the way (especially the various “miradouros” or lookouts). The property was spotless and clean. It is very well-supplied and offers a fabulous haven to wind down and rest after a busy day. With an organized and well-supplied kitchen boasting an induction range, ample outdoor eating space, a wood-fire pizza oven, and a grill, you can also try your hand at preparing a masterful meal. The pool is small, but plenty large for three kids to play. There is lounge space on different floors (both indoor and outdoor) that provides a restful area to rest and relax, even if multiple groups that might have different interests. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing property with all the amenities

Stayed at this amazing home from March 2-8 and was totally impressed. The home is somehow even larger in person than it appears in the photos. Home was clean and well stocked. Plates, dish soap, laundry soap, you name it, this house has it. All appliances are modern and function well. There is both a pod-based espresso machine and a traditional drip coffee maker. We did not travel with small children, but the home is equipped with baby gates on the staircases and high chairs and plenty of toys for those that are. Both the rooftop patio and back yard area are very large and a great place to relax. Pool was heated to a comfortable level and made for a pleasant swim during the 15C days we experienced during our stay. Communication with the host was simple and effective. Their restaurant and activity recommendations were excellent and they were always making sure we made the most of our time on the island. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and close enough to the town of Lagoa by short walk, or to the city of Ponta Delgada by short 10-minute drive. Everything met or exceeded expectations. I can easily recommend this property.

Adventures in the Azores

This property was beautiful! From the rooftop you have stunning views of sunrise, sunset, mountains and ocean! The home is located with easy access to the main roads and town as well as a short walk to the ocean. It’s in a safe, quiet neighborhood which is well kept. The house had everything we needed from yoga equipment and a foam roll, pool, pizza oven to towels for the hot springs. It it’s beautifully decorated, well appointed and luxurious amenities abound. The owner and property management team were amazing and responsive even with recommendations for restaurants, arrangements for horseback riding and fresh bread deliveries by a local baker. Get ready to explore, eat, relax and enjoy the beauty that is everywhere. (there are 2 steps to enter without a handrail and a flight of 6” steps to the bedrooms- this home would be difficult for anyone in a wheelchair)

Great get-away in a quiet location

We really enjoyed our stay. Hugo & his staff were very helpful and made the check-in and departure process easy. The house lived up to the description and pictures from the listing. The outdoor spaces (back patio with pool plus rooftop deck) were great!
