The Baja Station - Beachfront Schoolbus

The 40 ft bus sits right on our beachfront property, directly in front of the surf break. Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the waves, relax in the hammocks at The Baja Station Café, or unwind under the shaded palapa. It’s an affordable option for families and small groups looking for a complete living unit with kitchen, bedroom and living room.

Inside, the bus offers a queen bed, four bunk beds, a kitchen, and a comfortable lounge area with a large table/work space. You’ll have access to Starlink Wi-Fi, shared social spaces, and a laid-back, respectful atmosphere.

The bus includes a dry composting toilet and shower, and there is also a nearby shared bathroom and shower on the property, used by only a few guests and kept clean. From the ocean-facing windows, you can see the waves breaking, and you’re just steps from the shoreline.

This stay is perfect for travelers who enjoy a social, laid-back atmosphere. It’s not the best fit if you’re looking for complete seclusion or total privacy, since it’s located centrally within the Baja Station.

Please note that on Sundays, the space often hosts cultural events such as live music, jam sessions, yoga classes, workshops, talks, and film screenings.

We run entirely on solar power and rely on water deliveries, so we encourage guests to be mindful of energy and water use. While we have backup systems like generators and always aim to keep things running smoothly, life off the grid can have its quirks, especially on cloudy days. If you’re a digital nomad or need guaranteed connectivity for a critical call, just give us a heads-up so we can ensure you’re covered. We’re here to help make your stay as seamless as possible!
