Grounds are very nice and there’s a gentle climb down to the river, a beautiful spot on the patio to sit out for a drink or morning coffee — and the breakfast was excellent as well (I had to go for the Ulster Fry (similar to the Full English) both mornings. "Main standout quality of this hotel is it’s location. Beautiful views of The Mournes and very well maintained gardens. Also ample car parking space. If you want a quiet place to escape then this is it. Very attentive staff and excellent food. We did get the impression that one of the male staff was overworked- it seemed that he was absolutely doing everything, but must stress that he was an excellent ‘people person’ and that nothing was a bother to him.
