Only criticism would be that the lobby and the restaurant were air conditioned to a VERY low temperature. We had to bring sweaters for the breakfast "

"Really good hotel with easy access to it via subway from Kyoto Station. Located next to Kyoto Emperor Palace and in walking distance from Nijo-Jo castle and Nishiki area. Friendly staff and both continental and Japanese breakfast. Room were a good size and bigger than what we had tried before in Japan. If coming back to Kyoto we would stay there again."

"The location is great , hotel amenities like the bath house /sauna and breakfast buffet along with free cocktail drinks in the evening with daily entertainment are awesome . "Es war genial ruhig, hatte aber Annehmlichkeiten wie ein 24/7 „Public Bath“ mit typisch japanischem Design und Verhaltenskodex - super entspannend, das heiße Wasser (mit CO2 angereichert) nach einem langen Tag zu Fuß durch die Stadt. Waschmaschinen gab es leider nur zwei, aber diese waren sehr gut und preiswert. Schwierig war, die Wäsche (nach dem Trockner) noch komplett trocken zu bekommen, weil die Fenster in unserem Zimmer nicht zu öffnen waren. Mega war auch die fancy toilet und die kleine...
