This was the most disgusting hotel we stayed at in Asia across 3 months. On our first day we discovered a huge clump of hair/pubic hair in the bath which was not draining, and they moved us to a different room. On our last day as we checked the room we found a used condom underneath the bed, which I actually touched. This is a huge health risk due to bodily fluids and infection risk, and will be reported to the relevant authorities. The hotel tried to deal with this with an apology only and a free one night stay, despite the fact we were checking out and told them right away that we will not return, which is an insult. Only Expedia managed to get us some money back. Never again.
We also found some of the staff very rude. The lifeguard shouted at a woman one day as she tried to avoid the ridiculously designed waterfall above the entry to the pool area. The staff member Phoebe on reception was also incredibly patronising, sarcastic and rude to me when I spoke to her one day, although when she found out I was a hotel guest she changed her attitude but the damage was already done.
We were in a studio room which is advertised with kitchen facilities, however there was not one cooking utensil, pan, plate or anything, which defeats the point.
The only staff member we thought was helpful was the assistant manager at reception, who tried her best but was let down by other staff.
Location is bad. It’s a residential area which is a 10 min walk to the nearest train station.
