On the ground floor of a stylish, contemporary residence, Modern Studio Apartman 1 is the ideal base from where to explore Croatia’s Kvarner Gulf. This chic studio for 2 is only a 3-minute drive to the beach. In quiet surroundings, it suits a couple who want a relaxing holiday with great food and lovely beaches.

The studio has been carefully fitted out, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests. There is a large sofa next to the smart, fitted kitchen. The new kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, a Dolcegusto coffee machine, fridge, freezer and kettle. Next to this is a dining table for 2.

Open shelves separate the living room from the sleeping area. Here guests will find a comfortable double bed and a flat-screen TV.

Outside guests can use the lovely, shaded garden and a terrace with a table and chairs, plus a BBQ.

Location
Set on the hillside the residence overlooks the stunning Kvarner Gulf, famous for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters. Kostrena Beach and Zurkovo Beach are both close by. The local diving school (19-minute walk) can arrange scuba diving and snorkelling around the bay.

If you can tear yourself away from the coast, there is a lot of history to explore. Kraljevica (18 minutes) has not one, but two, castles as well as the Adriatic’s oldest shipbuilding yard and several excellent restaurants and cafés. The port of Bakar (13 minutes) is on the way to Kraljevica, and is known for its harbour-front restaurants, which are ideal for an evening out.

Rijeka (14 mins) also makes a fascinating day out. Croatia’s main port has plenty of interesting places to visit. For self-catering the market (Monday to Saturday mornings) is worth a trip. Here you can find local produce to prepare and enjoy back at home.

Rijeka International Airport is just 25 minutes away, over the Krk bridge.
