MOS-Fynbos is a self-catering house nestled in the heart of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, surrounded by pristine fynbos, dramatic mountain ranges, and unspoilt natural beauty. Set on a tranquil country estate between Kleinmond and Betty’s Bay, this is a place where time slows and nature leads.

The house is warm, character-filled, and thoughtfully curated, blending comfort with artistic expression. Every space has been designed to feel inviting, soulful, and deeply connected to the landscape beyond.

MOS-Fynbos is also home to a carefully curated collection of art, adding depth, colour, and personality to every room. Guests are invited to experience the creative spirit of the space, and for those wanting to take a piece of MOS home, curated souvenirs and selected art pieces are available for purchase.

Accommodation

MOS-Fynbos accommodates up to 10 guests, ideally 8 adults and 2 children.

The house offers thoughtfully designed sleeping arrangements for families, friends, or workshop groups:

• Room 1 (Main Bedroom) and Room 2 (Bunk Room) share a full bathroom.
• Room 3 (Guest Room A) and Room 4 (Guest Room B) share a full bathroom.
• The Courtyard Room features its own ensuite bathroom.

Guest Room 3 includes a king bed that can be converted into twin beds, making it ideal for colleagues sharing during workshops or retreats.

Each bedroom is thoughtfully prepared with high-quality bed linen, extra blankets, fresh towels, and a hairdryer for your comfort.

Water flows directly from the Kogelberg Nature Reserve - pure mountain water, naturally mineral-rich and sometimes tea-coloured, exactly as nature intended. For your comfort, we also provide clear, purified drinking water throughout your stay.

MOS-Fynbos is a fully self-catering unit, with a well-equipped kitchen designed to make cooking easy and enjoyable. The kitchen offers everything beyond the basic essentials, including a kettle, air fryer, electric mixer, NutriBullet, toaster, and other convenient small appliances.

For guests who enjoy a quality cup of coffee, a Nespresso coffee machine is available. For those who appreciate a more elevated dining experience, tablecloths and placemats are provided to create memorable meals shared around the table with family and friends.

Catering can also be arranged on request with prior notice, subject to availability. This service is charged separately.

Wellness & Outdoor Living

For guests who enjoy movement and wellness, gym equipment, dumbbells, and yoga mats are available - perfect for a morning stretch or yoga session on the lawn, surrounded by fresh mountain air and birdsong.

MOS-Fynbos is ideally located for outdoor enthusiasts. Explore walking trails throughout the Kogelberg region or visit the nearby Harold Porter National Botanical Garden. Cycling trails are also available in Kleinmond, so don’t forget to pack your bicycle and arrange the necessary permits.

For the adventurous, nothing compares to a refreshing dip in the icy ocean right from your front stoep. Guests can also enjoy nearby beaches, including Palmiet Beach in Kleinmond and the beautiful beaches of Betty’s Bay.
