"Of the 4 hotels I stayed in in Scotland, this was the best. A short drive outside of St Andrews with rates a fraction of the cost of hotels in town. Parking on site was easy. On site restaurant was excellent. The fish and chips was the best I had in the country. Staff was amazing. Rooms were in excellent condition. Property was unique and looked like a small village. "
"Stravithie castle is an opportunity to experience something quite unique and special.
The welcome included a brief tour of David’s home and interesting information about the previous owners. This was in addition to being shown our own accommodation which was spacious and comfortable.
David’s dog was a most welcoming host too!
I was most appreciative of the effort that David had gone to in catering for my gluten intolerance.

"Fantastic unit, layout was compact but so functional, great use of space so that it felt roomy (although would struggle with a large suitcase). Great customer service on Reception. Fun amenities in common area. Plenty of parking. Very clean. "

"The apt was well situated for comfort and easy access to all of St Andrew’s. With 2 locations in town they have a lot of options for single and group travel. I really liked the premium feel to the apartments and was well taken care of in communication with their staff when I had questions during and the option to leave my. Ava before my trip home was very welcome. Thank you!"

"The rooms are super comfortable with a really nice bed and a bath tub.
I did however find some small curly hairs, which were not mine, in the tub when I arrived.
I was in the first floor, and the bar (right under the room) was quite loud until midnight, but fortunately, I had brought my ear plugs.
The breakfast is really nice, and the staff is friendly.

"The room was nice other than being on the 3rd floor with no elevator and two twin beds instead of a king. The check in is different, you go to the pub next door and they check you in and the young man carried our bags up and down the stairs. The area is perfect and the pub is a great place to hangout after a round. "
"The Dunvegan Hotel is fabulous! We loved our time there. The location is perfect, close to the courses, shops, beaches and St Andrews. The people and staff are amazing, so helpful, and so fun. It was lively in the pub area and dinner at the Claret Jug was great. Absolutely a place I'd recommend for repeat visits."
