Feel at home! Nestled in the pines, this year round family-friendly cabin is conveniently located one block from the lake, adjacent to historic Old Brockway Golf Course, minutes to Northstar California Resort and downtown Kings Beach. The central location allows for easy access to all that North Lake Tahoe has to offer, but the ability to relax in the mountains in a quiet neighborhood. The cabin is located around the corner from Safeway and Spindleshanks restaurant (the best kept secret on the north shore!)
About the cabin:
As you walk in the door, you are welcomed by refinished original hardwood floors throughout, a cozy living room with a large sectional, a gas fireplace, 65” TV, and massive picture windows with views of pines. Walk down the hall to the master bedroom with a comfy king bed and large his/hers closets across from one of the bathrooms. The magazine worthy kitchen, with custom alder cabinetry and marble countertops, is next to the dining room. The adjoining dining area comfortably seats 8 and boasts a bar and beverage fridge.
The sliding barn door in the dining room takes you to the upstairs level with a queen bedroom next to a den with a queen bed, couch and electric fireplace.
A newly renovated one-bedroom apartment with a separate AND conjoining entrance has a full kitchen, full bath, and separate washer/dryer on the bottom level. Perfect separate space for grandparents, a couple, or anyone who wants a little extra privacy. (This can be accessed with no stairs from the driveway).
Sleeping Areas:
The house has three floors. The main floor (with kitchen, living area and dining room) has the master bedroom with king bed across from a full bathroom. Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a queen bed and when you step out of that bedroom, you are in the den area with another queen bed. You have to walk through one to get to the other. On the bottom level, there is separate living area with a queen bedroom, full bathroom and full kitchen. This gives the opportunity for some extra privacy- it has a separate entrance and has the option to connect to the main house through an indoor stairwell. Could be used as in-law quarters!
During the summer, enjoy a spacious flat yard with a large patio, hot tub, gas fire pit, outdoor dining area, gas barbeque and yard games.

Traveling with little ones? We know how it is. We have a wagon for walks and trips to the beach, a booster seat, a pack n play and toys and books for play.
Early check in (12:00pm) may be available for an additional fee. Please inquire about your specific dates.
Parking information:
Ample parking down the long driveway. The porch sheds onto part of the driveway so please refrain from parking under the overhang during the winter to avoid any snow damage. Please adhere to Caltrans traffic advisories during winter storms. Snow tires or 4-wheel drive may be required. Vehicles may be towed from May-November if they are parked on the street in the way of snowplows.
Other things to note:
This home will be stocked with a starter set of consumables such as soaps and paper products. Guests are advised to either bring or purchase additional after arrival.
*Patio furniture and barbeque will not be available from November - May.*
The property has a metal roof from which snow & ice can slide causing serious injury to those below. Children should never be allowed to play unsupervised outside when snow loads exist on the roof. People should never walk under the eaves of the property when snow load is present on the roof.
Due to the regularity of fires in the greater area, air quality is not an exception to our cancellation policy.
*Important: We support and comply with the Placer County Short Term Rental Ordinances which strictly enforces the following:
1. Quiet hours shall be imposed from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time
2. No open wood burning fires
3. All trash inside closed bear boxes
Neighbors have access to a 24 hour hotline to complain. Fines and fees related to verified complaints will be passed on to you through VRBO or Placer County.
For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have an external security camera located on the porch near the main entrance and by the back door leading out to the patio.
