Completely Renovated in 2022! Perfect Location!

New to VRBO!
East Bound and Down is conveniently located on the beach road at milepost 7 in the heart of Kill Devil Hills! This four-bedroom, two full bath cottage was completely renovated in 2022. Beautifully tiled bathrooms and new flooring throughout are just a few joys of the renovation. Enjoy the gorgeous ocean views from the reverse floor plan design. The cottage sleeps 8 comfortably. Bedrooms on the first floor include 1 king which opens up to the screened porch, 1 queen, and a third bedroom with two twin beds. On the top floor is a kitchen with a spacious dining area, living room and another bedroom with a king bed. All bedrooms have smart TVs with cable capabilities.

East Bound and Down is just steps from the lifeguarded Second Street beach access. Relax after a wonderful day at the beach on the front and back decks and the screened porch! The outside is complete with an outside shower, seating, picnic table and charcoal grill.

Kill Devil Hills boasts many wonderful restaurants and you're just over a mile from the Avalon Pier and the Wright Brothers National Memorial. Goombays is just a quick walk for a Goombays Smash and some amazing tuna tacos!

Clean, pleasant, renovated property, across Virginia Dare Trail from beach. 2 interior levels, house was on stilts so ground level was carport and outdoor shower. Amazing location in terms of proximity to food, drink, shopping. 10 minutes from Jockey’s Ridge.

My family (two grandparents, two parents and four young children) had a lovely stay at this property and would definitely recommend it. The house was very clean and comfortable and was equipped with everything we needed for cooking although the charcoal grill small and rather cheap. It was a very quick walk to the beach and we loved the outdoor shower for cleaning the sand off the kids and the large backyard where our kids could run off some energy. The beds were very comfortable and the set up was great for families staying with grandparents or two sets of families where one could stay upstairs and the rest downstairs. The only issue we ran into was of no fault of the owner. The a/c was unfortunately down in the upstairs portion of the home when we arrived. Thankfully, less than two hours after letting the owner know an hvac man was there to fix the ac and got it up and running quickly. Jennifer was very quick to respond to messages and we appreciated it. We loved that we could see the ocean from the front porch and its proximity to many grocery stores and restaurants. The road the house is on is a bit busier than I expected which made me a little nervous when walking to the beach with young children. Since we had grandparents to help it wasn’t really an issue but I wouldn’t have felt comfortable doing the walk solo with multiple young kids. That said, we really loved our stay and are already talking about staying here again in the future.

Great Place

The place was great, the only thing missing is a pool/hot tub or some outdoor fun! Very clean and nice but not much to do at the house other than sleep.

Great time at OBX!

Had a great stay at Eastbound and Down with the family! Property’s location is optimal with close beach access. House was well furnished and very comfortable for the seven of us. We would stay again.

Perfect family beach getaway

Great location (right across from the public beach access), house was beautiful and plenty big enough for our family of eight. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed - even steamer pots for a boil. Host was wonderful! We did not need anything during our visit but was she very responsive to questions prior to our arrival. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property and awesome location

The beach is just a short walk down the street. It is a very busy street but there is a crosswalk and walking path. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for two families of 4. It would be nice if some beach chairs were provided for people not able to bring their own but it was fine for us. Overall great stay and would book again.

Other than we couldn’t control the weather, we had a wonderful stay at your beach home. It was so comfortable, very clean, great proximity to the beach, local restaurants and had all the amenities we could need. Would definitely love to come back and stay again!

Pure Perfection!

Our stay in the OBX was wonderful, and a big reason for that is because of this home. It's centrally located in KDH, so it's not too far from any attraction which makes it easy to explore and sight see. We loved that the beach entrance is only three houses away--only a 3 minute walk! No need to lug beach gear too far. Note--the house does not have beach chairs, so you’ll need to bring your own. The property also has an outdoor shower to wash off all the sand before entering the house--such a neat experience for us. The grocery store is only a 2 minute drive away which was a plus. The house was extremely clean with vacuums on each level which helped us keep the house clean, too. The first level has three bedrooms and a full bath. I loved that the kids were all together but in separate rooms and had their own bathroom--no fighting! The bedrooms (upstairs, too) are cute, large, and comfy. The upper floor has a spacious living room and dining room--also decorated beautifully. The kitchen and bathroom on this level are on the smaller side, but it was perfect for us--everything we needed was there. The whole house is modern and updated. It has lots of neat outdoor areas, great A/C, and is so spacious. We'll only ever stay here from now on. It was a perfect place to rest after a long day of fun. A welcome basket with supplies, candy, and a baseball cap was also a nice surprise. The owners also responded quickly and pleasantly to questions. This property should get 10 stars!

Highly recommend!!

The cottage was beautiful and clean. The beach access was just a couple of houses down. We had a wonderful time and hope to go back next year. We had no issues at all and enjoyed our relaxing beach vacation!

1st time to OBX

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we had a wonderful time! Everything about the trip was perfect. We could not have asked for more from this property. It had everything we needed and was very clean. Jennifer was great with answering any questions we had. The location was just a short walk to the beach and there are places to eat and grocery stores all very nearby. We loved it and cannot wait to visit the Outer Banks again!!
