Welcome to Continental Inn Condominiums in Key Colony Beach, Florida known as “The gem of the Florida Keys.” Our Non-smoking Condominium is fully equipped and furnished to meet your vacation needs. You are only minutes away from the boating, fishing, snorkeling and diving North Americas only living coral reef. Our Tropical Paradise is perfect for a quiet/romantic get-away or a fun-filled vacation with family and/or friends.
Our oceanfront property includes a private heated pool and private beach retreat on the Atlantic Ocean.
Guest condos are just steps away from a refreshing swim in the heated pool or ocean. Bring your own or rent a locally delivered kayak or paddleboard that can be launched directly from our beach.
Our Continental Inn Condominium units include fully equipped kitchens, secure WIFI, cable T.V., tiki huts on the beach with gas grills. Coin washers and dryers for guest use are available on the right side of the building prior to entering the breezeway from the parking lot.
The City of Key Colony Beach is a tropical island paradise, located in the Heart of the Florida Keys centrally located between Key Largo and Key West. Drive 45 miles to Key West and spend the day shopping and dining, visit many famous pubs, historic sites and watch the sunset from Mallory Square.
Amenities in the City of Key Colony Beach include several restaurants, clothing and gift shops, marina with fishing charters, dive and snorkel trips, boat rentals, 9-hole golf course, children's playground, pickle or bocce ball and tennis. View spectacular Florida sunsets at Sunset Park just around the corner from the Continental Inn.
Something to do for everyone! Come, relax and enjoy the wonderful environment, local culture, fresh seafood, tropical island sites and weather.
Love the beach! Relax on our private beach on the Atlantic Ocean or take a short drive to Sombrero Beach approximately 5 miles away or Bahia Honda Beach which is approximately 10 miles from Marathon (located just across the famous 7 Mile Bridge on the left Atlantic side) and named one of the most beautiful beaches in the United States.
Florida Keys Wildlife Adventures await you, just within 7 miles from our beautiful city! The Dolphin Research Center, Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters, Crane Point Hammock and The Turtle Hospital.

The Continental Inn at Key Colony beach was wonderful. Very clean, pretty landscaping, the sandy beach area was kept clean and the room was exactly as pictured online. Throughly enjoyed our visit.

Quick get away

Need a little get away, this place fit the bill. Nice efficiency type condo only a few steps to a small beach with a beautiful ocean view. Close to many nice restaurants. The weather wasn't perfect but managed a swim in the ocean and used the heated pool. Quiet condo complex. Since we only had a few days, the owner accepted a 5 day stay. Would definitely go again!!

4 nights in Marathon!

Very clean, beautiful location, on the beach with a pool. Kitchen, living room, very nice to have versus a hotel. Property is very well cared for. Steps away from Sunset Park, nightly pilgrimage to watch the sunset and sing Jimmy Buffet. Close to most of Marathon. Key Colony itself is a lovely community with beautiful homes and boats. We loved it!

Key colony round 2

This was our second time at this property (different unit). We love this location and love how quiet it is. Plenty of parking and the water view can’t be beat. This unit has a great view and was very clean. You are 3 doors down from the water! The bed was a firm (in our opinion and not comfy) but we loved having 2 ceiling fans in unit. The bathroom was a little strange. It has a incline to enter and I worried I would trip in the middle of the night coming out. The shower has glass but only part of the way up and there is no lip to the shower so water kinda got everywhere. I don’t know if this was a handicap accessibility feature or just a weird design.

It was so nice to have private beach front and a pool. We kayaked, played pickle ball and enjoyed the restaurants, all within a close distance from the property. We would rent this property again.

50th birthday getaway

My husband chose this location because of its beachy backyard, proximity to Key West, and places to dine. Our room was lovely, with adorable wicker couches, a cozy king size bed, and the cutest little perfectly-appointed kitchen. The closet held extra pillows, blankets (perfect for hanging over the window to dim the bright morning sun!), and outdoor chairs. We loved getting up and starting the day while overlooking the water, listening to the tide, and having our toes in the sand. The staff was friendly and the grounds are well cared for. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying what Marathon has to offer. Only minutes away from delicious food and an experienced fishing charter.

Comfortable stay

The studio was exactly as was pictured. It was clean and tidy upon arrival and very cozy. It is on the ground level and only steps away from the ocean/beach. I don't really have any complaints, but I will say that it was very clear that the dishes need to be cleaned, dried and put away when we checked out - but there was no tool in the unit to clean or dry the dishes. We ended up buying sponges and extra paper towels to ensure we could make sure to take care of this task. Otherwise, there were plenty of towels, trash bags, and just what we needed to make our breakfasts in the morning (we pretty much ate out for all other meals). The property is very nice and peaceful. There were mostly older adults visiting. We met a managing couple and they were super friendly. The pool is clean and the grounds are kept up very nicely. The beach is very small, but we were expecting that. Seaweed was abundant, but I think that is just to be expected at this time of year. The area is very nice overall - lots of things to do and places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Everting was as noted. Could maybe used darkening no blinds on slider, didn’t feel like much privacy, blinds didn’t seem to close all the way but overall sufficient.

Great 25th wedding anniversary trip!!

Gorgeous location! The area of colony key is so peaceful. We walked a half mile to Havana jacks for dinners and drinks (our waitress Tonja was great!) loved the view and private beach. Crystal clear water ! Highly recommend going on a morning charter with nite life charters. We caught a lot of fish. Saw dolphins, eagle rays and a sea turtle.

Great little property

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint resort. We were comfortable and had all we needed in a small, nicely set up space. The bed was very comfortable (nice firm mattress) and everything was very clean. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed the little beach. Convenient mid Keys location. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us.
