Grandy Nook - an apartment that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

  • Grandy Nook is a spacious two bedroom apartment in a building of architectural interest, in Keswick Town centre. It is situated on the second floor, with rooftop views of the fells from several rooms and is fully double glazed to provide a peaceful haven.

    The bright welcoming kitchen has plenty of worktop and cupboard space for those planning to cook and dine in. It is fully fitted with fridge, freezer, microwave, electric oven, gas hob and a washing machine. There are beautiful rooftop views looking towards the fells to enjoy from the window.

    The living/dining room is the perfect place to gather and socialise. There is plenty of comfortable seating, cosy electric flame effect fire, TV and a lovely prominent feature being the semi circular stone mullioned windows.

    There are two bedrooms each made up with luxury linen and towels. The master bedroom has a double bed and single bed plus plenty of drawer and hanging space. The second bedroom has bunk beds, chest of drawers and shelving.

    There are many amenities literally on the doorstep, including numerous traditional pubs serving good food and real ale, a wide variety of restaurants serving Indian, Chinese, Italian and English cuisine and an array of shops. Keswick boasts many visitor attractions, such as the Theatre by the Lake, a Leisure Pool, Museums and a Cinema. The Lake is a 10 minute stroll, with easy walks around or more strenuous walks for the more adventurous on the surrounding fells.

Saved holiday

After our van breaking down we managed to book grandy nook last minute. The online booking was easy to make, the welcome details comprehensive and check in straight forward. The apartment was spot on, in a great location and had its own parking which was very convenient. Had a lovely stay. Would recommend.

Comfortable Central Stay

Lovely flat in central location. The excellent views come at the cost of two flights of stairs, not a real issue as long as you are reasonably mobile.

Fantastic apartment in a great location

Our stay at Grandy Nook was fabulous. Although the apartment is in the centre of town and in a great location it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The apartment was very spacious and light and spotless. It has everything we needed and the parking space is a huge bonus. Highly recommmended.

Excellent stay in a great location

The property is well positioned and well equipped, we had a great stay, good to have parking included, the space is a little tight but once in was fine. Overall its a lovely place.

An ideal family holiday apartment

We stayed at Grandy with our two young children, who loved the bunk beds and all the space for running about and playing. The grown ups appreciated the comfortable sofas and bed, the warmth in the apartment and the ample storage space. Being able to amble straight into Keswick town centre was ideal, and we were not far from the playground at Fitz Park or Derwentwater for the views.

Perfect Location

Stayed at Grandy Nook for our wedding anniversary. The pictures on the website didn’t do the flat justice. The bedroom was massive, with amazing stone window surrounds and double glazed. The lounge and furniture are of good quality and comfortable. Dinning in the turret each day was amazing, again stone windows surrounds, views of the mountains were excellent The location was amazing. On Station Street and minutes walk into the town centre, wine bars and restaurants Would definitely recommend and will be a returning guest

A long weekend in Keswick

We had a very comfortable stay in Grandy Nook. The apartment was very well equipped and is located in a very handy place for the shops, restaurants and pubs in the centre of Keswick.

Well Appointed and Roomy

We had a lovely stay. The apartment has everything you need and plenty of room. It is well located and quiet and comfortable. We highly recommend.

Excellent and friendly staff at Keswick Cottages. Would recommend this spacious apartment to anyone. Excellent location. Thoughtful dog gift given. Well equipped kitchen and super clean.

Warm, comfortable and spacious apartment, ideally located in the centre of Keswick. Huge main bedroom, well equipped kitchen and the fact that you can control the heating made it a perfect base for a short winter break.

Beautiful apartment with central location.

Beautiful apartment, lovely furnishings and great central location. Our only complaint was we couldn’t get the oven to work, it definitely needs replacing as seems a bit old.

Spacious 2nd floor flat with everything required for a break in Keswick. Great shower, comfy bed. 2nd bedroom more suited to children as bunk beds and quite small. Dog friendly

Well appointed large apartment in central Keswick

It's a large apartment location on the second floor on Station Road in Keswick (the one way part of it) and has a designated parking spot with a private carpark at the back of The George Hotel. The location makes it very easy to access the town centre. The living room and master bedroom are quite frankly enormous and the kitchen is also above average in size and well finished. The bathroom is also generous and looks like it was refitted within the last couple of years... again to a high standard. The second bedroom is the weakest part by far - it is small and has bunk beds that realistically makes it suitable for younger children... not so good for a 6ft athletic 19 year old. In warmer weather when the windows are open for ventilation you will get some noise from the road below either as noisy pedestrians later at night, road traffic and deliveries early in the morning. With the windows closed that is not a problem - but just something to consider depending on time of year. I would have no problem staying there again... although with adult children this would more likely be as a couple.

Fantastic week for 2 adults & baby without car

Fantastic week at Grandy Nook for 2 adults + 10month baby. Highly recommend to those looking for car-free trip to Lakes, with all the options of Keswick (pubs, restaurant, supermarket) + buses elsewhere. Accommodation was ideal - very comfy bed, spacious lounge area, functional kitchen & bathroom. Great heating & smart TV for chilly Dec nights. Service from Jessica was brilliant throughout. Will be contacting Keswick Cottages for next Lakes adventure.

Very Friendly Staff and Excellent Location

The Keswick Cottages Office is nearby and the staff provide very friendly, responsive, and helpful support. The apartment is a spacious, 2-Bedroom apartment in a prime location, in central Keswick. Reserved parking for the apartment is ‘off street’ and nearby. Would definitely consider renting again.

Great location

We had a great week at Grandy Nook. The central location was brilliant and the views and weather were fantastic during our stay. It's very spacious and comfortable. We had a few issues which weren't ideal: One of the 2 blinds in the bedroom was half open and would neither open nor close The shaver socket in the bathroom didn't work so we couldn't charge our toothbrushes There were bits of crisps in some of the bins and on the floor and in one of the kitchen drawers when we arrived and a peanut on the living room floor and the dining table mats had sticky stuff on them, so it didn't feel very well cleaned
