Other attractions and landmarks in the town include Keswick Museum and Art Gallery, Derwent Pencil Museum, Keswick Climbing Wall and Outdoor Adventure Centre, Puzzling Place, Friars’ Crag and Derwent Island. The Castlerigg Stone Circle (1 mile) dates back 5,000 years, and walkers can attempt nearby peaks such as Skiddaw (6 miles) and Grisedale Pike (5 miles) or head north to Bassenthwaite Lake (5 miles).
